Went to screw on my 510 atty this morning and it kept turning and turning and turning...Took the adapter off and noticed, HEY! The brass fitting is no longer sealed into the stainless adapter housing!

Pics below...

Anyway to fix this? I already put in a ticket.

What bothers me is i just mailed out some items BACK to PS, if i would have waited about another hour, i could have tossed this in the package also.

something flat and soft like wood so it doesnt mushroom over.
how ling have you had it?

about 2 weeks but havent used the 510 adapter ( i normally drip on 801 ) but i started using the 510 as of yesterday because i wanted to give it a try with the V2, all was fine all day yesterday, then this morning i wake up, screw on the atty and it kept spinning.

So the adapter itself, is about 1 day old from when i started using it.

I think on one of thier "how to" videos they show acouple with the same problem, stating they get tons back like this from overtighting.

Yeah i seen a video like that but i think that was about the atty ripping apart, not the actual adapter coming apart. and in order to get my 510 attys to fire up, i had to tighten them down regardless.

I had the same issue on a 510 Protege adapter. It still works with the centre in loosely.

I was going to send it in, but it seems to have fixed itself and it stays in the SS housing. Don't know how it fixed itself, it just did :confused::confused:

I can say though, it worked fine once applied but getting the atty screwed on required me to take the adapter cap off, apply the atty, and screw adapter cap back on.

yeah mine did seem to work for a short time ( 20 mins ) while it was like that, though the atty/cart would spin around sometimes. Then it just stopped all together, plus if juice ever did gather up in the well/adapter area ( though i always keep mine clean ) , it would leak down onto the switch and that would be a mess and another problem all together.
