I bought a V2 off of the classifieds in REALLY pristine condition.
I don't even use my Chuck anymore... I know, blasphemy, I know.

(I have another coming in the mail today, so I will not be without, EVER.)

The threads do not allow for a 510batt to 901 adapter to be used any more due to wear on the top of the threads.

Can I get the brass changed out at a cost?

Can I get a V2 901 adapter also since they don't seem to be offered on the site?

I can't tell you anything about PS stock or availability, but the PS guys are absolutely flooded (literally) right now and have very limited electricity and Internet. In fact, I'm not sure about today, but most of them couldn't even get to the office yesterday because of flooded and/or closed roads. You might get more info (probably not from PS themselves right now) from here.

What people seem to keep forgetting (and what was actually mentioned on a thread yesterday by someone else) is that the V2 has a lifetime warranty and the V1 still has an affordable out-of-warranty repair option (I think, anyway). Problems arise and an "upgrade" magically appears for purchase and people run and grab it. I haven't had any huge problems and I hope not to, but rather than buying a new switch or a whole new device simply because of a problem with my V1 or V2, I'll try to get it repaired unless there is a reason I want/need the upgrade. I understand what surf said yesterday about basically feeling tricked into buying a V2 twice. I don't think he/she had any bad intentions in saying it and was very tactful in saying it, and I have no bad intentions in repeating it. It's just a statement of fact.

Hey Guys,

Sorry about the lack of response this past week. We've been playing catch up since we were able to get back to the office on Wednesday.

V2 adapters are gone and we will not be having any more made. We have moved on to the V3 adapters, which are stainless steel (no brass) and are compatible with the V2.

We have a limited amount of 510 and 901 adapters available on the site with more expected in next week. 801 adapters shouldn't be far behind.

Thank you
