Anyone know for certain if you can use adapters that are for standard PV's for the V2?

I read there was an issue w/ Joye 302/304 usage on the V2 but I think I have an idea to bypass that problem.

510/901 V2 Adapter > 510/901 battery to 801 atty adapters > Joye 302/304 atty

Will that not work?

EDIT: Just to clarify what I mean. ATM I am using a Spade 510 with an adapter I purchased that allows my Spade 510 battery mod to connect to a Joye 302/304 attomizer.

i've been using the 302 atty on my standard 801 ps adapters for the v2, protege, and passthroughs. 3 or 4 weeks now w/ no problems whatsoever; in fact the best vape i've had in a long time. aftermarket adapters, such as 510-801, 901-801, will also work..but no need!

Huh?! :?:

I read in this thread posted by CaSHMeRe ( Prodigy V2 & Protege Troubleshooting Guide ) him stating that "Janty/Joye 302 attomizers", and i'm assuming 304, "short the unit when used."
*Thats post is dated 1/20/10*

I hope your right. >< I'ma give it a shot. I have a few 302's available yet to be used.

Just wanted to add that I prefer the 801 ( kinda liking the 901 now also ) over the 510 so I ordered the 801 fitting for the V2. But all I have is 302's available and then read CaSHMeRe's post. Doh! LOL

I've had an issue with the Janty Kissbox penstyle atty not working, but it seems just adifference in that atomizers center post placement. Mine are a bit old as well, 8-9 months. There are so many varieties of penstyle attys that its next to impossible to make an adapter that is perfect for every one made.

We know that the 801/RN4072 and the BE112 do all work with the V2. I prefer the low bridge atty's do it's down to the RN4072 or BE112's for me.

yep, i saw that post as well but i had already ordered a bunch of stainless 302s to match up with the v2, protege, and and passthrough. i inquired, as you have, to see if others had any success using the 302s with the stainless ps products, and only got one reply. there may have been an issue with the 302s and the tact switch, or screwing the atomizer on way too tight, either of which may have caused a short with another user. i don't know.

i fired up all 30 of my 302s as soon as i got them to make sure they work (they do), and i've been using one single 302 now for over three weeks on all the stainless ps products with no trouble at all. to me, they're better than the be112, but i fall back on those when need be. the only time i'll use the other penstyles is if it's an hv atty. bottom line, for some unknown reason the 302s are noted as questionable. you may want to put the 302s in a drawer somewhere and stick with the other penstyles on your v2, but i really, really think you'll be missing out if you do.

Alright, I received my Pure Smoker V2 yesterday! The thing is a BEAST!

So I went ahead and tried those 302 atty's on the V2 w/ 801 connections......

It's affirmative folks..... It does NOT work at all.....

Which really sucks cause my 302's can hold TEN drops direct dripping w/o any leaking, whatsoever, of 'juice' and the supplied RN4072's hold 3-4 drops AND they leak like crazy... :?:
Not sure whats up w/ that, tbh.
I should be holding the newest model 302..... cuz they have 2 air holes & not 4 holes like they used to have.

IDK why yours work & not mine BuGG but ...this is lame.

I use the 302 on a 510 battery mod w/ an adapter I purchased.
So not really certain if the 302 is just far superior at directly holding more liquid than the RN4072.
Or its just the 510 to 801 adapter I'm using allowing such an anomaly.

Looking for some new concrete information to why this is the case.
I cannot test these 302's on the 510 battery w/o adapter & the 302's just don't work at all on the V2.

I'm gonna have to go back to plan A scratching plan B once more.
1. Buy Pure Smoker's 510 Adapter for the V2
2. Attach the after market 510 to 801 adapter onto the V2 510 Adapter
3. Attach the 302 atty onto the after market adapter

Hopefully someone can confirm or deny weather this will work or not before I get some money to order this all up.

AKs0n,

Are you serious??? What do you mean it doesn't work--no sizzle, no nothing? I have no idea what the issue is, but there's no way I have a special batch of 302 atties and multiple magic 801 adapters for the V2 and the Protege/Passthrough. That's just not possible. Mine work flawlessly, and I do mean flawlessly!!!!! If I could, I'd give everyone in the world this exact same setup so they could enjoy what I consider to be the ultimate vaping experience.

Are your 302s working on any other 801 adapters, another mod perhaps? The only thing I can think of is that something is wrong with the atty...but, if by chance I'm the lone lucky one with a set of flawless workhorse 302s and magic PS V2 801 adapters....well, that sucks a bit....but I'm riding it out for the life of these things.

I have experienced the same thing with the V2 and another 801 device I have. The Janty/Joye 302 just sits there.... no sizzle nothing. I put a 801/510 adapter on then a 510/801 adapter and then the 302. BANG! Works like a house on fire. Somehow the adapters bypass the shorting problem. I also have a 510 V2 that I just put the 510/801 adapter on all by itself and the 302 and it is working GREAT!

Nope, no sizzle at all, :( power does not hit the atty. It really sux cuz eventho i'm no long term vapor by no means. I do share the same feelings as you do....
Compared to 808, 510, 901, 4072, the 302 or the 304 Janty version w/ the gold trim instead of silver, are DEF my favorites. >< So i'll def be hell bent trying to fix this myself.
( I have not tried 801 or 112 yet, but i doubt my opinions will change )

LOL, yep apparently you just got lucky. My 302's, I got 4 of em atm, I tried like 10x to get ea. one to work w/ the V2 but they just don't get any battery juice whatsoever.
I tried using those same 302's in my Mod 510 battery hooked w/ adapter to 801....
They work flawlessly just like yours do but w/ 3.7v NOT the V2 5v.

I did notice, however..... if I 'try' to use the 302's w/ the V2
THEN hook em back up to my 3.7v....... they need to be fiddled with to work. ><
I have a 'LED light' on the 3.7v mod that allows me to watch the batteries activity like normal e-cigs allow you to do.

- The 302 will be perfectly screwed onto the 510 but ....no 'lights' w/ a fresh battery?! :?:
- So I unscrew the 302 power it on again w/o the atty...... the 'lights' are on?!
What the heck....
- So I gotta 'fiddle' w/ em by holding down the switch & screwing the atty slightly tighter on til 'lights' shut off... screw a little off & then try again, hoping the atty & battery stop shutting ea. other down & allows the battery to STAY on ...and warm the atty...

Not sure what thats all about but.... eventually it works

Although <_< I do have one battery thats been doing the same thing.....
It lights up the 'LED lights' but.... only w/ the atty off .....weird
I wound up tossing that battery to the side bout a week ago considering it a 'dead' battery

Now i'm not so sure that's even the case anymore. :?:

Awesome, that's great news indeed, knowing beforehand that my little method of attack will FIX everything!

One question tho....
Being you also use adapters to hook up to the 302.

Did you notice any substantial difference between how many drops you can give the 302/304 over any of the other 801 competition? :?:

Its an extreme drastic difference for me between the 302 vs RN4072.
The RN4072 looks terrible compared to the 302....

I have noticed no big difference. but I just drip 3 drops and vape until the taste tells I need more or I hear the sizzle from the atty. I have not tried using more drops, just don't want to get anywhere close to flooding it.

I do notice more vapor and more flavor with the 302

Awful..... I just received my V2 510 adapter.

Hooked up a Joye 510..... awesome.

Hooked up 510 to 801 adapter w/ a Joye 302 atty..... not so awesome. :(

1st hit worked but the subsequent attempt seemed to be a misfire.

3rd attempt same results.... but after that attempt.......

The battery chamber felt 'warm'...... its not suppose to heat up, huh. ><

So popped the batteries out & ofc it was the batteries heating up. :|

I noticed it sounded like air venting itself out when I unscrewed the cap.

Not sure what is wrong. :?:

Is it cuz my adapter is silver & not brass?

Are those batteries bad to use now?

And will this happen again w/ my other set of batts if I try again.
------------------------------
UPDATE: ( 5 minutes later )
Tried those same batteries again that had heated up after they had cooled down.
Used 'em w/ the Joye 510 & they worked normal as they should.

Tried the 302 once more...........

This time hoping the 302 would heat up INSTEAD of the batteries.

It's possible I might've 'over-tightened' the atty the 1st attempt <_<

Cause 2nd attempt actually worked. :)

I'll just make sure to be EXTRA careful whenever hooking up the 302 here on out.

Batteries heating up is something I need to be stayin aware of. >_>
