Prodigy V3.1 Questions. Possible future owner.

First off thanks for taking the time to view and read my thread..

I'm currently in pocession of the MKII, and at 3.7 volts vaping has been adequite but not perfect. I'm looking for my future 5v-6v device and so far have narrowed it down to three possible models; the V3.1 Prodigy, the famous Silver Bullet and finally a newcommer to the scene the Bombshell. So far I'm leaning more heavily towards the SB due to a few quirks I found the V3 has after watching Grimm's review. They might seem juvenile at best, but I might as well like the device if Im forking over a $100+ setup.

Firstly the battery rattle. Grimm's was actual the original V3 not the V3.1 which encompassed the earlier light spring edition. Currently I'm told the 3.1 comesequiped with the medium spring with the option to purchase the heavy or light later down the road. My question is does the medium rid the model of the battery shakes? If anyone has both the medium and the heavy spring which is more silent in comparrison..?

Second I've heard the V3 is an atomizer killer.. just eats them like candy.. Is this only the V3? Because I've read forums talking about the SB not being as such a serial killer. Is this right or are peoples vaping habits to blame..? Possibly coupled with 3.1 ohm or higher atomizer could suffice as a better practise with the V3.

Again thanks so much for at least reading my pleas for help.. It means a lot to me and my future with vaping as a whole.. I really don't want to pick the wrong device as much as these little guys cost...

Thanks guys!.. and gals :p

Since I own both the SB and the Prodigy v3.1 I'll do my best to answer you're questions.

Battery rattle... My v3.1 seems to have a machining defect on the tube that allows the top cap to screw down too far so when tightened all the way, the button made constant contact. I had to add a 1mm o-ring to the tube in order to use it. With the o-ring installed I hear a good amount of battery rattle against the tube. Side to side. If I remove the o-ring and tighten the ends to just before the button makes contact, there is much less rattle, but it is still present.

Atty killer... This one I'm not sure about. I don't use atty's at 6v. I use cartos and have yet to lose one. For the 510 connector, I suspect the connector design could be a problem with attys. The center post sticks up far enough that it can, and does, push the positive post of the atty up into the connector. This can cause short's and kill attys pretty quick. I can't use a carto on another battery after it's been on my V3.1 unless I pry out the center post.

Those 2 things are my only gripe with the Prodigy V3.1.

The SB on the other hand is a tank. The only problem I've had with that beast in 8 months is finding Noalox in Home Depot. It simply works and works well. The only downfall of the SB is that someday, maybe, the switch may fail. But I'm more confident in my Silver Bullet working when I pick it up than my V3.

The Bombshell, to me, looks like a "rough" version of the SB. It's not as smooth and refined but I'm willing to bet it works equally as well.
