Ok, got that out of the way...

The best route would be to get your 5 posts in, wait for the server to update your status to full member at around :25 after the hour.
Then you can get serious looking around the Modding Forum where everyone is like-minded about building.

What did you have in mind? I live a few blocks from where the Billet Box is made, and they actually can do quite a bit of custom work.
