Racing shocks
Lightened flywheel
6 PT roll hoops/bar
Racing anti roll bars
Chassis braces
Racing motor mounts
Konig wheels
Racing tires
It's been my toy for over 8 years now. I love this little car. With the updates it's about 160 hp now and handles like a go cart. I lap road America faster than vettes! Sure they are fast in the straights but I keep a higher average speed overall
My greatest achievement was making a passenger toss their cookies!

I do the open track weekend events at different car clubs but haven't tried the series yet. It's mostly non competitive weekend events, more of a "beat the timeclock" runs. I would love someday to run a true competitive event though.
Its been a fun way to spend a few weekends a year, traveling around to different tracks in the US.

Haha! Nope, pulled into the pits and he jumped out of the car. He was riding with me as a newbie to learn the track before he took his car out.

I hear ya El. Unfortunately the BRG (or ERG) ones are more emerald in color than true racing green.
How fast is that car going? It certainly has some roll happening there. I don't think we have that model mazda here in Oz, although there's so many little mazda sporty things, there might be.
Depends on the corner Kats. On the long straights I hit about 130. I do about 80 through the 220 degree "carousel". Probably the fastest corner on that track is a quick righthander called "the kink" that I take about 105. Oh all mph by the way.
I like the kink and carousel because the corvettes just drop off in my rear view mirror
They do however become much bigger in the mirror on the straights
I was once passed on the straight by a Ferrari, one of the most beautiful sounds I ever heard. I was doing about 110, and he shot by like i was standing still...
Edit: Had to double check but I think my avatar is turn 7 at road america which I enter at about 50 and leave at about 65-70mph.

Bogey, my brother road races for Miata. I'd like to share your pics/car info with him, if that's ok w/you.
Cute car and the blue is gorgeous. I could see my hubby driving it like his great-great-great-grandmother...not over 50mph. Meeeee...weelll, I don't get called lead-foot-Annie for nothing.
The only time my husband does over 50 is in his semi...I always have to take a bucket to sit on to "relieve" myself when the big rig hits 150mph. That's the only thing I drive like I have some sense but it's due to not wanting to kill someone with it. Don't get me wrong, he's a good driver, until we hit open road with nobody around.
