If we had an organization, we could have a lawer representing us or other ways of being involve in what the governement is preparing as far as legislation. What if the governement just pass a law without anyone seeing it coming like what Harper is able to do...? If things aren't clear now, or not yet legislated, it could be sooner or later.

They are working on a law I can't keep them all straight C-11 sucks(just ...... to my MP about it) I think it may be in with the C-36 where health canada will have control over everything including supplements and all? Anyone know for sure?

Also they are voting on C-11 I think tomorrow so anyone that hasn't spoken to their MP about that one should ASAP. If you transfer a DVD you bought to your ipod to watch after tomorrow you are a criminal because it will be against the law. Haha Go Canada Go.

Bill C36 will give HC control over almost everything related to our health. They will be able to demand clinical studies of products that have been distributed to the public. There are a whack of other powers they will have but in essence unless there is quality control and valid studies/ clinical trials for a product they will be able to order it pulled off the "shelf" IMO.

Yeah, even something like a pill made of ginger. We all know ginger isn't a health concern, but HC could demand clinical studies and effectively kill the supplement. And as far as I know, there's no oversight. Seems to me this type of control easily leads to corruption. You know what they say about absolute power...
