Anyone using blunt syringes to refill cartomizers?

I prefer 100%VG and have seen several different sizes, some recommended for VG others not. What size are you using?

14g ..... Supposed to work with VG, but is it too big for cartomizer? (i.e. does it push the batting down when you stick it in)
16g ..... Might be a happy medium
18g ..... This is the only one many suppliers have, but have seen sites that dont recommend them for VG (and a few comments here)

I do this as well. But wanted a simple way to fill several at once with CORRECT amount of juice lol even with a spin, mine seem to always be too full.

Topping off is easy, filling, spinning, filling spinning could get tedious if I want to fill say a 5 pack all at once and just top off from there till they are all toast then grab the next batch and keep on going.

I havent found one of the ink kits yet. Will have to check wally world, next trip.

Do you use straight or thinned VG?

I carried the habit of using syringes over from my filling of carts: they made filling a lot easier and less messy. But I always pre-filled enough to get me through for a while.

Incidentally, after trying all of the cart mods in the world, I settled on polyfill with the vent pipe mod. For the vent pipe, I used 1/32" aluminum tubing from HobbyLobby. This gave me the the maximum amount of juice capacity with the least amount of leakage and atty flooding. Tubing is a bit of a pain to cut since it is easy enough to crush the ends shut. I used a small Dremmel style hand tool with a cutoff disc.

The other big advantage was that it was very easy to withdraw liquid back into the syringe if there was pooling of fluid.

18 g works fine for most juices. HIgh viscosity VG will need a 16 g. You can get both cheaply enough at Tractor Supply.

They are wayyyy on the other side of town and since I dont think I could ever vape a gallon of PG in my lifetime :vapor:havent paid them a visit yet.
