Alright I've got my handy dandy link to the calculator and I know I need 2.4 ml of my 100 mg to mix with 12.6 ml vg to get my base. And I know when I add the flavor it'll have to SIT a bit to mix with the VG.

But how do I know that the 100mg is properly blended into my 16mg base?

Does a quick shake get the 100mg properly mixed with the straight VG or does this also need to SIT a bit before I take my base and mix with flavor?

Admittedly these numbers are small, I'm just testing the waters at this point and dont want to flush big batches down the drain if I mess up, but main point is how do I know that my 100mg/ml is now blended to 16mg/ml.

Wouldnt want one drop to be 50+. Seen many discussions about how to safely handle, but not how to insure your mix is actually MIXED.

That's kinda where I was heading myself, if for no other reason than to not have a half empty bottle of 100 mg to worry about oxidation, although think the jury is still out on how to properly store this stuff. Still bottle should last me 2 yrs if I dont end up supplying entire family (3 vapers total) or mess up lots of batches. To be honest I'm doing it to save money, so as long as I dont screw up the nic concentration and get sick, it's all gonna get vaped sooner or later.

Again that was the reason for this post. If I cut the 100mg, how do I know it's dispersed throughout the volume. This stuff is pretty thick. Does nic concentration EVEN out over time as it moves from high conc to low conc blobs of VG or do I need a supper shaker to mix it right.

I mix, all at the same time, 25% 100mg nic, 20% flavor, 55% VG. Shake well, let it sit overnight. This is just a basic recipe for 25mg/ml niquid. In a 10ml bottle (what I use most of the time) it works out to be 2.5ml nic, 2ml flavor and 5.5ml VG. The nic and some of the flavors I use are in a PG base. So it is not quite 45% PG and 55% VG.

Everything disperses evenly with vigorous shaking for about a minute. Unless you are using an oil based flavor, which is not usually recommended.

I store the 100mg/ml nic in the refridgerator with no problems yet. I also keep some in the cupboard for use as needed. It does get thick when it's cold.

The blended juice keeps well in a dark cool place. It will change color over time anyway.

Alright hippie hippie shake for one minute. Check.

Not worried about recipe at moment. Still new to vape in general and DIY in particular. I bought the right stuff, but havent been brave enough to turn kitchen into a clean room for production till today. Thought I'd get my feet wet so to speak by making a generic base like the 36mg Unflavored that I started with, but since I was playing with the big guns started me wondering about whether or not I was doing everything right. Up to now, I was more concerned with safely handling everything that I neglected learning how to get a good result from the mix itself.

I'm sitting their looking at this thick goop. I'll remember the trick about the cabinet next time. Let it come to room temp overnight and have a day of mixing the next and maybe wont be syrup. Probably should try some PG to see if I like it, but love my VG so much I've been focused on doing what I needed to to handle the thicker stuff. Even have some PGA to thin with, but again I'm at the beginning of my mixing adventures.
