Proper Way to Refill Cartrige

I was wondering what the proper procedures are to cleaning, refilling cartridges (using the standard supplied tips / filler).

I have had mine since Wednesday and used it fairly heavily on the same cart just by dropping a few drops on top of the filler material.

Is there a photo tutorial or similar to refilling carts?

In addition, how often do most of you clean out the filler material? I am starting to notice a little "off" taste from when it was new and not as strong of a vapor.

I just noticed that my filter tip was also slightly melted upon closer inspection

Is this a common occurence, should I just ditch it?

Also, should the filter tip be aligned so that it is parallel with the oval ceramic disc or perpendicular--does it even matter?

I don't get any melting using 3.7v.

I do get some when using my xhaler...which is my primary weapon..lol. I use 'em even though there may be a little melted part on em. I just gotta get better and not leaning on the button.

I refil my carts this way:

drip, drip, drip, drip - hold it at the top (where I put the drops) and shake it 3-5 times to force the juice down.

Repeat until I get an ever so slight "pool" on top, even after shaking. Too big of a pool and it may flood yer atty...specially at 3.7...dab a little off the top with a napkin if ya think it may be too much.

Do you just put your finger on top when you "shake shake shake, shake shake shake, shake your carty?"

Reason I ask is i read that one should avoid touching the juice, yet it sounds like a good idea to shake.

I drip it from the top too, and used a toothpick to move it around a few mintues ago and that does seem to help to get more liquid in the cart.

I did find Moobys YouTube video on a search and that helped and was fun to watch!

I think in all honesty I may be just letting them run too dry. How many puffs do you take before "topping off" on average?

I get juice on my hands frequently. I'll just wipe it off. If you were a smoker you should have some tolerance to it.

Sounds like you are running it to dry, The number of puffs depends on how you use it, The vapor starts to fall off then you need to top off.

It doesn't hurt to clean the stuffing occasionally but I swapped mine for a mod the first week I got it so I don't have a lot of experience with it.

Some pull the stuffing out, fill and restuff. Some use the straw mod to let the air escape and let the fluid soak in faster.

The tooth pick works also.

An 18 gauge syringe pushed to the bottom of the cart works also. 25-50 cents at the pharmacy. Blunt tips available on line.

No I don;t put my finger on the top...I pinch (not squeeze) the open part of the cart and shake downward. The only juice that gets on muh fingers is the little bit that may be on the sides, by the vents.....I just lick it off or wipe on muh pants.

I refill initially by removing the foam, loading 8-10 drops of juice then replacing the foam and topping off. Once out and about, I top up by dripping a few drops as required on top of the cart. I've noticed recently that the when topping up, the juice gets absorbed much faster if you tilt the cart a bit and only drip on one side of the filler. I think this helps because displaced air is able to escape through the dry section of filler.

You can clean the filler material simply using hot water. Just soak it (maybe squeeze it like a sponge) and rinse it. I then press it into a paper towel and let it dry overnight.

I'm lazy, just drip on the top and let it pool. All my carts melt eventualy. ho hum no biggy. I like my atties like my women ....wet
