Just a note for newbies... After a couple of months of steady vaping, I finally discovered why my refilled carts were not working properly. I was using too much VG in my DIY mix, and the stuff was simply too thick to wick properly.
Now it seems perfectly obvious, and since I know what to look for I can see it's pretty common knowledge, but maybe the observation will help other new vapers or dipsticks like me.
If your carts vape as if they're dry, but can be topped off with only a few drops, perhaps you're using too much VG. I can imagine other causes, like filler material that needs to be cleaned perhaps, but the mix was my problem. Now that I'm down to maybe 40 percent VG my 510 carts seem to work great.
