How about...
Smoking cost, $850.00
vaping savings, $603.00
Lives to save, 400,000
Saving one of those lives, $Priceless.
Estimated by...
Cost of pack since starting
vaping @ smoke rate.
Savings based on cost paid per 10ml @ ml rate.
(Ok, so the savings are a little off, but so are the costs of smoking.)
It costs money for cough-syrup, doctors visits, lung-removal, cancer-removal, funerals, etc... when it comes to smoking...
For the
vaping, there is the initial start-up cost, plus atomizers, batteries, and electricity to charge the batteries, plus juice/shipping...
I think they balance themselves out, safe enough to estimate with just the cig or juice for comparison.
(Ok, there is also the "Carbon footprint" in the calculations, which is significant. Not sure which is worse there. I assume cigs are worse... I hope... No sense being alive if your second-hand smoke is the carbon from the factories making the plastic and providing the power for the e-cigs... killing everyone! Ok, that was a far-cry... LOL.)
