Proposed setup - safe?

Calling out to some of the subohm veterans hanging around here...

I recently wrapped my first subohm coil, quite by accident. I wasn't going to use it, but I happened to inherit a mech at almost the same time. So I figured I'd give it a go.

However, I'd love it if someone with more experience could critique the safety of my setup, as I have no interest in dangerous vaping.

The base is Smoktech's mini rda. The mod is Smoktech's E Pipe Mod. The battery is a Trustfire brand IMR 18350 800mAh 3.7V.

The coil is twisted 32awg kanthal metering consistently at. 9 ohms. My calculations say that would be an output of about 20W down to about 15W as the battery declines.

Does any of that sound like a bad idea?

Edit: saw they are imr batteries. I wouldnt trust them because no one has really tested them to they're limits. Go for it and write a review. You could be the one who puts the faith into trust fire imr's

Good rule of thumb is to not use any battery with fire in the name.

while .9 is an ok range, the problem is you need to know the amp output of the battery and make sure you stay below it. without the exact model information no way to check for you.

The power you calculated seems to be correct, but as others have pointed out the battery is the key to the safety of the set up.

To be honest, you're highly unlikely to find any. That would be part of the cause for penguin and scottp's comments .
