The wiki on prylene glycol states that "Like ethylene glycol, propylene glycol affects the body's chemistry by increasing the amount of acid. Propylene glycol is metabolized into pyruvic acid, which is a normal metabolite in the breakdown of glucose, while ethylene glycol is metabolized into oxalic acid, which is toxic."
Does anyone know if this is creating a lower than normal than blood ph?
The reason I ask is that I am diagnosed ADD and take Adderall for treatment.
The drug is suggested not to be taken with acidic food or drinks because this blocks the absorption of the drug.
I've only been a vaper for a half a week now. Before that I was a pack a day smoker, but I've noticed that the Adderell is not nearly as effective as it was before i became an e-smoker.
Coul Propylene Glycol be the culprit here? If it is, does a solution or alternative exist to minimizing the affect of acid production or increase from PG? Thanks in advance.
