I've Been vaping Since End Of July. I Am Using A smok Ego With Adjustable Setting. It's With A Carto Not Wick. Lately The juice Looses Flavor Or Gets Flooded Alot. I Have Been Reading On Forums And Members Are Mentioning Wicks. Go To Local Store And They Haven't Given Much Info On These.. Friend Has An Iclear Wick And Enjoys. So Finally My Question : WhAt Is The Main Pros Cons On Carto Vs Wicks
thanks

Hi Ames,
Well this is from my experience. I started with cartos first when i began. I used Smoktech and Boge cartos and their carto tank systems. Now i use the Vivi Nova v fate which has wicks.

Pros with cartos IMO: better flavour in a brand new carto vs a brand new wick
Produced a bit more vapour
Cons with cartos: cartos lasted me on average about 4 days to 1 week MAX before i need to change
I experienced WAY more QC issues with them esp ones from Smoktech with a lot in the pack being DOAs

Pros with wick: Seems to me that certain models ie Vivi Nova are easier to rebuild and rewire vs a carto, a tad cheaper too
I found replacement heads of wicks to be at times cheaper than cartos (depends on model and vendor)
98% of the time, my wicks were good out the pack and very rarely any DOAs
Much easier to clean a wick system than a carto and easier refills with a wick tank, no need to boil cartos anymore
A good wick head could last me 3 weeks or so before i need to deep clean or rebuild it

Cons with wick: muted flavour somewhat

There may be much more points but this is all i can come up with now. I like wicks better for convenience and im always on the go. i can live with a slightly muted taste. Some like cartos for flavour, etc. depends on your preference.

I find that with even the best with-stuffing single coil cartos I can find, sweet juice flavor degrades over the week I use the carto (it's actually 2 weeks but I alternate vaping 2 models). I think part of that is just a downside of sweet vapes - the bitter of the slightest bit of burnt/reboiled flavor will cancel the sweet. I do use the lightest color clearest flavors I can find to get the best carto life. Still, my clearer non-sweet flavor gives me much better carto life - I can get 2-3x more carto life with that flavor and I only start a new carto to get more vapor with the clear non-sweet flavor.

I haven't used any clear cartos - I keep my ecigs in the front pocket of my baggy jeans or my cardigan's pocket or toss them in my waist pouch. I don't need to be careful with them.
