so ive got a kangertech EVOD. im looking to upgrade my vaping experience. from what ive seen online people talk about the protank 1,2 and or other things. im looking for something that produces a good vape and doesnt have issues with leaking or anything and that can handle citrus flavors (so something made of glass).

so my question to you guys is whats the best think i could get, he protank 1, the protank 2 (and whats the difference between them?) or something else?

These tanks aren't talked about as much as some of the others, but they are really great. Glass, fit nicely on the ego and hold quite a bit of juice. I have several and have had zero leaking or other problems with them:

Smok Tech Pyrex Aro Tank

PS if you read the reviews, you will see it gets great comments!

From my personal experience (which is a little limited atm.) The Iclear x.1 is great for taste, but it leaks (for me anyway) very bad. My PT mini 2 is pretty good for flavor, but also can leak and gurgle, but not that bad and the coils are easy to rebuild thus saving you some money. For that reason, the pro tank 1 and 2 is also probably a good choice. I've heard nothing very good about the protank 3 and the aero tank reviews I've seen are hit and miss. The Protank mini 3 has gotten pretty much good reviews across the board and I've seen someone build one of the coils on youtube using instead of a drill bit, a zip tie to wrap the coil to make it fit more evenly inside the coil housing, so those are rebuildable as well. I'd say if you have the money to throw around, get the Nautilus. If you want something a little cheaper go with the aerotank with adjustable airflow or the Protank mini 3.

I got the smoktech ARO and the PT mini 2, and I love the Pt Mini 2. Drilled one air hole out to 1/16" and it is perfect! The Aro has started to leak into the air hole and gurgle recently. I changed coils and it still does it when it gets below half way. Anyone else have this issue?
thanks for that tip :)

I'm using the iClear 30S now, but it is plastic, not glass, so it runs the risk of cracking with certain flavors as you know. I've had very good performance with the iClear 30S, though, which is my backup unit because the Kanger Aerotank has given me nothing but problems. The first one fell apart in my hands. My store switched it out and gave me a new one, and with only being about 1/2 and 3/4 full it would gurgle, and it stood upright most of the time except for the accidental knock over. Now, as I was filling the juice, I killed the air flow control ring because I accidentally tightened it all the way up, and I'm waiting for a replacement piece in the mail, so I can't use my aerotank until it comes in the mail on Monday.

Your evod uses the eGo thread;
Get the miniprotank2, which also uses the eGo thread.

The protank1,2 and 3 come with the 510 thread interface; the aerotank also uses the 510 interface, but one of the problems with the 510 interface is moved out onto the airflow adapter.

If all my rba's were confiscated and was forced to use a changeable coil head atomizer, I would get the Aspire Nautilus. Much better design over the pt's and air supply comes from the side and not the stem, also has adjustable air control.

But since that will never happen unless I am subdued and handcuffed, will stick with my rba tank systems.

If you like and plan to continue to use your evod at times, I would suggest the protank 2 or protank mini 2. The mini will be more the size of the evod, while the full size will seem rather oversized on a ego battery. They all use the same coils, so that means you only have to keep one type of coil on hand, and that helps to simplify things.

I love my Protank 2 with the Aerotank base. You can buy the base from Fasttech for like 3 bucks. Otherwise, go with the Protank mini. But with either, learn how to make your own coils with cotton for the wick. !.8 - 2 ohm microcoils with cotton. Easy peasy to make, great flavor, and it'll save you a lot of money rebuilding your own coils. Not to mention.......it's fun to do!:2c:

The protank 2 works well on the Evod. A bit off balance for sure but its a good well made tank and I have had 0 problems with them. I have 2 PT2's and 2 PT minis and Evod bats in stainless. Sharp looking. I like the PT2 over the mini's. The minis are a bit on the airy side, which makes no sense with just the 3 small holes, but that's what I find. The PT2 works well with the 2.5 ohm coils and the mini's with the 2.2 or 1.8 coils. I just started rebuilding coils and the possibilities abound.
