So I have a ego ce4 650 mah battery. Which I believe does not have short protection. I have a protank 2. Which if you know rebuilding. Its a bottom fed coil one single coil to heat up thus producing vapor. What if instead of 1 coil as the coil head. I were to replace it with two micro coil two seperate pieces of coil not touching. Into one coil head both connected correctly but no parts of the coils would be touching in theory they would heat up together producing more smoke then the single bottom fed coil we all know in a protank 2. Would it cause a short if done correctly.

I use the Protank 2, but I know very little about mod or rebuilding, sorry. Too easy for me to just replace the coil even though I have Kanthal and wick material. I tried to get into it, but my laziness shined through. Maybe if you reword your question you will get a better response and put it in the modding forum. You will have to have 10 posts here in the New Members then you will be able to post in there. Good luck.

In theory, if you have "dual coils" the total resistance must be comparable to your voltage or wattage......power supply. I believe if you have 1.8 ohms on 1 of the coils and 1.8 on the other.....easy math tells us the total would be 3.6. What I am trying to do is get you to 10 so you can post in the modding forum and get some answers from people that actually know what they are talking about..

In theory, I don't see any reason why this wouldn't work. Protank 3 / Aerotank coils are duel coil, but the small well in the head that the coil(s) sit in are larger in these heads allowing room for the two coils to be stacked one on top of the other, separated by a layer of silica. When I started rebuilding a couple of weeks ago, I did look and see if I'd be able to do this on my PT3 heads, but as it stands that's beyond my skill set. I'd imagine it would be even tougher to fit two coils in the PT2 heads. No doubt, someone's probably done it successfully though. Good luck, would be interested to hear if you manage it.
