I have wondered in the past about a "dual-coil" in a figure 8 pattern. So it would be a single length of wire and in effect a single coil, but with two wicks. It would be twice the resistance of a similar single coil, rather than half the resistance that you get with a real dual coil. So you could wind it with two pieces of wire twisted together to get the same resistance as a single coil of the same size.

It would be fairly intricate work whether you did that or just a standard dual coil. Whichever you do, practice first with simple single coils. Winding the coil is not the hard part.

Do not even consider winding coils without a resistance meter. It is very easy to get accidental short-circuits, even if the coil looks perfect.

I have built 10 coils on the protank 2 by reading and obsessing over how to do it correctly I do not have a resistance meter if I have a 3.2v battery no way of telling the Resistance how would I be able to figure and find of way of telling there is no short quite nervous about this one its different running one coil but two seperate micro coils in the area of single bottom coil head seems a little/alot more difficult.

I've been rebuilding the Pro tank coils for a bit now and here's my two cents. If you want to get into more exotic coil building you'd best go the route of getting a rebuild-able atomizer. There's a thread I've listed below that has an amazing variation of coil builds, quad coil, dual coil, single coil, etc. for them. The other thing I would invest in is an APV (Advanced Personal Vaporizer) that can be adjusted for variable voltage and/or wattage if you are going to go that route. Your current battery has limits as far as heating coils that are a higher (and lower) resistance. The Innokin MVP is a reasonable starting point as far as price and capability go. It also can give you a fairly accurate reading of the resistance of your coil builds. I know that with a 1.8 or so micro coil with a cotton wick on a Pro Tank or Pro Tank Mini I get pretty darn good vapor, as much as I need anyway. My advice would be to accept the limitations of the Kanger heads and utilize them for your daily vape and for use when out and about and save the time effort and money for the platforms that lend themselves to the more exotic builds.
