I never really had any issues. When I refilled the ProTanks, I always put a napkin over the mouth end and gave it a good couple of shakes like the old timey thermometers. Then just put it on and I never had any gurgling. Hope this or something someone suggests helps. That is what is so wonderful about ecf.....always someone around that wants to help. Good luck to ya and happy vaping. :)

Why I think the PT leaks is that your using the stock heads. The stock heads are very cheap on the wicking material, the flavor wicks are too short and they don't stick out the grooves far enough or have fallen down the side of the coil leaving a space between the stem cap and the top of the wick. Either get a old top coil atty, cut off the wicking and use them as flavor wick(s) or get yourself some 1or 2 mm silica and put a beefier flavor wick in the head. You could also offset the 2 stock flavor wicks so each stick out the groove some, its not as good as replacing the flavor wicks but should work. You have to learn some DIY on protank heads if your planning on regularly using protanks. I've been using protanks for a year now now and mine don't leak, gurgle and I can vape them right down to the last drop without any issues. YouTube is how I learned to troubleshoot many of my atty problems I've encountered.
The protanks work on a vacuum and with the wicking not holding the juice back, it will drain through the wicks and down and out the bottom onto the battery.
