ProTank 2 question

I have a 2 and a mini 2 and I love both. Only problem is I prefer the shorty style drip tip and not all of them will fit the 2's. Anybody have any links to some that will definitely fit? I know it says all 510 tips will fit, but they don't. I have googled and googled and I'm not having any luck.

I've had that problem with almost all delivery devices. Some drip tips fit certain stuff great, others "rattle around" in the socket on other stuff. Some are too hard to seat and require too much pressure. I know what you mean but dn't have a list, sorry.

The inconsistencies are usually because of the o-rings at the connection point on the drip tips. Some may be larger or smaller thus causing it to either not fit or fit less snug. Unfortunately, no one can guarantee a perfect fit. I've listed a vendor link below that has a wide selection of them. Back when I used protanks, I had pretty good success finding tips with a good fit. I hope this helps and good luck.

It's a trial and error thing - my B&M promised me they were all the same, but not one they had fit my tanks.
My advice would not be to order anything that isn't a known / demonstrative fit - and/or get them from somewhere with a good return policy.

O-rings can help loose fits.

So, funny story. I only had 1 of my favorite tip. It wouldn't fit my 2 or my mini2. I recently ordered a couple more just so I would have extras. Well, they both fit my 2's! Weird. Exact same tip from the exact same company. 2 fit and the other does not.

If you have a B&M go by and try some their tips on your toppers. I see people do it at a local B&M where I spend some time (too much time...).

I'd suggest going to Home Depot or Lowes and trying different O rings on them. Bet you could get one to fit.

The new ones do fit. I just thought it was weird because they are the same kind that I tried at first. I'm happy now. I have my favorite tip on both tanks. I'm going to check out the O rings though for in the future. Thanks!
