No, right below the wicks (you should see them protruding from the sides if the atomizer is uninstalled) is a large flat ring (its the widest part of the atomizer) that sits flush when installed in the lower tank ring.

Ok gotcha yea they are in there correct. I just talked with someone else about it and he is having the same issues with a protank 3. I really like the tank and I believe its a problem with the coils. I might try to order newer coils and see if that fixes the issue.

You could also use PT 2 coils in the PT 3. They are backwards compatible. With the longer shaft in the middle, this may help.

I didnt know that. I will definitely try the pt2 coils. That will at the least tell me if it's the pt3 coils thats causing it to leak. Thanks I really appreciate it.

I was going to suggest that as well. The PT 2 coils are only single, and some have said they get better results with single coil vs dual in the PTs. I myself haven't had any issues with flooding or leaks, the draw..well that leaves a little to be desired.

Which pt are you using? And what would really be the disadvantages of using the pt2 coil in a pt3?

I'm using the PT3 with PT3 long stem coils, I don't have any issues with mine, other than the draw. I am still new to vaping so I wouldn't even try to tell you advantages or disadvantages of any setup whatsoever. I just hope you can get the problem solved.

Once your juice drops below a certain level, owith my protank 2 that level is about 50 % you'll get a leak from the 510 connection. It has to do with air pressure. You have to either top it off or open up the bottom and burp it to equalize the pressure. If you don't top it off it will leak again, you'll get a few good capes but have to burp it constantly. Heat and cold will also effect the tank and make it leak. Dont leave it in your car on a hot day, you'll have a mess when you get back to it. And when it has leaked, after doing one of the above, best way to clear the gurgle is to turn the tank upside down and blow up with air against the 510 instead of juice

Have to greatly agree with Rathamar and Botomline...I have 2x Protank 2 and 1 Protank 3. My local vape shop recommended buying the new Aero Tank which uses the air control bottom. Of course they wanted $40 for the full tank setup. I searched online and found the bottom only for $6 and bought 3. Can't go wrong with it and the only time mine leaks per se, it collects in the bottom of the air flow base and it never spills out. Of course it only happens when I put it on my mod and either don't get a good connection and basically just suck the juice with no vape or I let a friend hit it who treats it like an analog cigarette and doesn't know to do a long slow pull instead of a fast short one.

I got mine here and hopefully they will be back in stock soon:
