I'm in two minds about setting him up with a cloud maker. vaping should be a journey through the simpler and cheaper (not crappier) set ups to the pricier ones.
If you start too high where do you go ?!
There something satisfying about discovering new, better options through education.
(In my opinion PT3 minis are a good starter clearo, mine always work with high VG juices - maybe he's been sold a knock-off).

Kudos to you for helping him out.

So the OCC you are referring to is the replaceable coil that comes with the subtank, right?

So don't you also have an RBA head with the subtank?
Why are you concerned about dryburning and rewicking the replaceable head (I think referring to it as an OCC head just means most people don't know what you're talking about), when you can just dryburn and rewick the RBA head which has screws to properly secure your coil?

Because I don't intend on using the RBA section. I like the eliquid capacity with the replaceable head and like I said it looks like it would take maybe 3-5 minutes to dryburn and rewick. Maybe the RBA head is super awesome and I'm missing out but I feel like if I wanted to rebuild something I would just use one of the many rebuildables I already have.
