So i vaped a Protank 3 on a normal Ego Battery , with no voltage settings.
And it made me cough like hell, the vapor was really moisty, watery.

And since that time, when i smoke with my Evod clearo it makes me cough.

Ive contacted my local vape shop, and they say the voltage on the normal battery is to low for the Protank 3, but is is unhealthy? Could i have damaged something to my lungs?

When did you start vaping?

It could be a couple of issues. A cough is the body's manner to rid itself of an irritant. First would be too high a nicotine content would cause a cough. A high PG content in the juice could also irritate the throat, causing a cough. When someone quits smoking cigs the lungs try and clear themselves for a few weeks and coughing is normal. If you have burnt the coil it would also cause a harshness and probably a cough.

It could be totally unrelated to vape and you should see a doctor. I doubt you've hurt your lungs (I'm NOT a doctor) but you do need to determine what is causing the cough.

As to the moist watery vape... what ohm is the coil in the protank? What is the nic level in your vape juice and how much did you smoke a day (2 packs a day? half a pack?) Personally I would start to look at upgrading to a better set up to vape and use what you now have as a back up (iStick 30 w and Nautilus Mini).

Ramsy, when I vape too high of nicotine (like 24 mg/ml) it makes me cough. Also are you mouth to lung hitting or direct lung hitting? The direct lung makes me cough really badly (likely due to 48 years of cigarette smoking along with way too high nic levels for DL hits...) hope that helps a little. Also if you don't stop coughing after changing juices and lowering nic levels, this old RN suggests you see your health care provider just to be safe.

Which resistance coil/head are you using?
Prostank3 has a few different replacement head resistance choices. 1.8Ω, 1.5Ω, 1.2Ω, .8Ω
Draining the battery in 30 min sounds like the 1.2Ω or more likely the .8Ω.

What is the PG/VG ratio of the liquid youre vaping?
High PG can be harsh, high VG can cause heavy/tight chest feeling in some folks.
12 mg/ml nic may be too high if using the .8Ω or even the 1.2Ω.

If you stopped vaping for a week & the symptom persist time to see a doctor.

Just putting this 'out there' as nobody seems to want to discuss this *possibility*

i.m.o. A regular eGo battery is not strong enough to power a dual coil atomizer with much degree of success.

I needed to use an MVP/Vamo to review the PT3 and the Evod2/glass. Even with the power upgrade, I thought both were very poor performers.
That why many of us never used PT3 and kept on with PT2.

..just my opinion... :)

I use an 1100ma ego battery on my protank 3 and it works great. my girlfriend also like this set up but as mentioned the op may be using the wrong coil or to much nicotine or the wrong PG/VG ratio. the ego battery works best with 1.8 or 2.0 ohm coils.the PT 2 is easier to rebuild and neither tank is more than a starter or MTL tank. but they worked well for getting me off tobacco.

Could a weak vapor be dangerous to your lungs?

No. 100% sure weak vapor is not a bad thing....

...not unless you start sucking up juice, which would be like drinking e-liquid through a straw, which nobody would do. Besides, a really flooded atomizer would basically stop you vaping.
