I think that when an item is not genuine it's not have the same title with the genuine. So you are right.

This does not have the "kanger" at the title. Only the protank.

It looks like the clones have arrived - which, honestly, is fine. When you look at a Protank, it's a simple device and would be pretty difficult to screw up. Still, the one pictured is different from the 3 Protanks I have right in front of me.

It's not just that the Kangertech logo is missing (who cares?), but the design isn't the same. The mouthpiece is shorter; the top metal part is further down on the tube; the bottom cap is a different shape (perhaps aluminum?) and the metal air shaft going up from the coil is shorter. Not a big difference, probably won't affect the performance, but it's not the same.

And at worst if they fall apart at least I have 5 protank bases, thats if they fit the kanger pro and they are good. I seen one place had just the base for $11.00.

I havent had a problem with any of my protank bases so I didnt get any from DV, guess I will get a few next week In case I dont like the clones base.

Hmmmm. You're right, the pics don't show pre-cut air slots. In the description it says: "Airways are pre-cut at the bottom of the tank so you can flush-mount the tank on any mod/PV without any gap", but from the pics, which show a bottom view of the tank, they're not there.

I have a Genuine protank I've been saving, so I don't know how well it works, but I paid $19.99!
I did get a "leather" box with it though....

Ordered the clones about 4 AM and just got email from FT saying they are shipped most times I've waited 2-3 days befor it shipped.

If you put "protank" into the site's search engine, you get four results. I wonder if they're representing a bunch of sellers, kind of like Amazon? Out of the three that have "Kanger" in the product name, one says it's 2.4 ohms, and the other two say 2.5 ohms. The last one is the one you ordered (I think). I would have gotten the same one you did; I don't really care about brand names. Although it does look a little different from the authentic protank, most of the time, it's the exact same product that got stamped differently at the end of the production line (I mean the technology that comes out of China. Their dupes for items that originated in America or Europe can be very poor).
I hope it works out for you! And thanks for mentioning it to us fellow vapers. Very cool.

discountvapers sells the bases and cigtech sells the tops at $1.96 for the base and $3.99 for the top. They are not in stock at the moment but when they get back it stock it is the cheapest genuine protank money can buy.
