Protank coil rebuild question

I use a standard sized paperclip and lay 2 or 3mm wick on top then coil. Works pretty good.

I do this using a T-pin, cut My wick ever so slightly longer than the T-pin and wrap 3 coils at a shot

I have read a lot about the dry burn. Never had a problem with the protanks, but have fired my dripper while short of juice, and have to say I'll take the cotton taste over the silica wicks taste any day.

Heh, I'm about an hour into my first cotton gauze re-wick on a stock protank 2.5 ohm head. So far the gauze is working out quite well.
