So which coil-heads do you guys like better on the ProTank? The Evod or ProTank replacement heads??
... I was told that the evod-heads give a tighter draw and better hit, so I bought a pack of those (LR 1.8ohm) for my new ProTank.. I also usually like low-resistance gear on my VV battery (at least with my T2's and T3), it seems to give better flavor and thicker vapor than a higher-res coil @ the same wattage (higher voltage).

I got my ProTank yesterday, and loveee it soo far.. I screwed in the 2.5ohm standard ProTank coil-head when I got it yesterday and vaped all day, loved it. Best clearo I've tried yet! Some people complained about the airy draw, which I also usually would not like on any unit, but I really didn't mind it on this tank since it delivered so much thick vapor and flavor.
.. This is also the 1st time I've been able to enjoy a higher-resistance coil (2.5ohm) at the same wattage (higher voltage) as I would have my low-res coils, a high-res coil usually tastes burnt on my other tanks at the wattage I prefer.

A couple hours ago, I screwed on one of my Low-Res EVOD coils (1.8ohm), just to try it out, and turned down my voltage to match the wattage of when I had my standard 2.5ohm PT head in it.. I notice that the draw is tighter on the evod-head, but it seems to give me less vapor, and a thinner cloud of vapor. It may just need to break in though, maybe I'd like the standard-res (2.5ohm) EVOD-heads since I like the 2.5ohm PT head so much?

So, which do you guys prefer?

I am pretty sure the only difference is the size of the vent tube that goes into the mouthpiece air shaft... (dang vapetalk is strange sometimes...) I rebuild the evod heads a lot and you have to remove the air tube on the head to get to the coil. The only difference I notice with the protank head is that the tube is 3-4 mm longer. Both (short and long) tubes are completey interchangeable in the base of the heads.
I tried an evod (short tube) in the protank this weekend and found it to gurgle too much for my taste, so, to me there does seem to be a reason as to why the tubes are a different size.
On the positive, it is quite easy just to move the long tube to a new rebuilt head base... (or vise versa with an evod)
Don

(Edit- Plugging two of the vent holes (just above the 510 threads) does wonders for a soft draw on the Protank.)

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I guess I just like the wider tube on the ProTank head, definitely more airflow than the EVOD-head, but it seems like it gives more more vapor/flavor and (the thing I like the most), thicker vapor and bigger hits. At least so far, I've only used the Evod-head for about an hour..

It could also be the change in resistance, but I change my voltage to keep my wattage around the same level, so that shouldn't effect too much. I usually like low-resistance heads (1.8ohm) on any clearo/carto, but the standard-res ProTank head seams to give me thicker, bigger vapor-clouds and better flavor.

So one more question, do you guys like the standard-res (2.5ohm) or low-res (1.8ohm) heads better?

My friend uses the 1.5ohm heads on his set up. It's exactly like mine, 1300mah spinner and an EVOD clearomizer. But I use the 2.5ohm head. When I tried his set up it didn't produce as much vapor or taste as my 2.5ohm head. I was vaping the same juice that I have in mine and his battery was fully charged. Now idk how old his head was. I'm just passing on my experience. As of this moment I prefer 2.5ohm heads.
