What kind of ohm reader do I need to read the Ohms on my Mini Protank II V2 Atomizers? I just purchased a Ohm reader online and it's not even close to fitting correctly..
I have no idea what I am suppose to get. The guy at my local vapor store has a device that looks the same as mine, but he was able to connect my atomizer to his unit.. What am I missing? I don't see any specific details on any of the ohm readers I see online about if it will fit my atomizers or not..
I need to rebuild now.. I'm out of atomizers once this one is no good..

How can I tell by the description that It will work for my atomizers? The detailed description on those are the same as the one I already bought..

Can you throw us a link to what you bought? Whatever that thing is they sold you it has neither 510 or eGo/510 threading on it. It actually looks like they made one with 808 threads - hardly an evolving market for ohm checkers.

If they have the "right" product description and you received a very "wrong" meter I would be asking for a replacement or a refund.

Get a 510 to eGo adapter then, that should do it and they're cheap :)

Is that the part that I am missing? For sure? lol

Ego to 510 or 510 to Ego? I just want to make sure since I usually always buy online and waiting many days for mistakes is depressing.. lol

Ohm Meter Reader

Item Details:

This ohm meter is 510 and 808 threaded.

It reads from 0.01 to 9.99 ohms

Simple and easy to use with 808-D and 510 connectors. ( Female connector piece is located in the battery compartment )

It can be powered by 2 AA batteries (sold separately).

Well I was right - it is 808 threaded. The weirdness about it is that no matter what the box description says it is only 808 threaded.

What is that "tube" sitting on the tester in the newer photos? It looks like they included an 808 to 510 adapter? Does at least one end of that screw onto the threads on the tester?

This is just a mess. You have to use the 808 to 510 adapter. Then you can only screw 510 connector devices onto that. That would mean: No ProTank mini bases - or anything else that uses eGo threading. That looks like a PT Mini base I saw in one of your photos.

PT coils don't natively screw onto any of these testers. They have to be mounted in the Kanger base, and then the base has to be screwed onto the tester.

Simplejack -- yours looks totally different than mine. I use a 510 to Ego adapter on the connector on the right side for mini protanks.

No. You actually need an 808D-1 to eGo adapter - which is not an easy thing to locate.

Otherwise you have to use the included 808 to 510 adapter, and then screw a 510 to eGo adapter into that. And then screw your device you are testing into that. Two adapters and a device base later and I wouldn't trust any reading you may get off that thing.

You bought a mistake. The first and only tester I have seen so far with 808 threading.

sorry no joke you have a wrong tester. another thing the coil head needs to be in the atty to test it...so you need a tester that will have ego and 510 threading

So those testers I see that have the threads on the outside will work for what I need as long as my atomizer is screwed into the base?
