My protank II that I have had for about a week is leaking into the tube. I have done everything that I can think of to not make it flood, but its not working.

I don't draw on it hard and its starting to aggravate me to the point of wanting to throw it in the trash. Can anyone help me figure out what is wrong with it

Ok first things first.

Did you change the head on it?
Are you using Kanger Protank Heads or something else?

One other thing is what juice are you using as well as what watt/voltage are you vaping? What Ohm is your head?

One thing that improved my Protank II was actually using TS3s heads on it. Don't ask me why, but the stem was a little longer and I haven't ran into issues with it since.

I'd like to come in here and sweep in and tell you what the problem is, but you've got me. You're matching my setup almost spot on. I use a Vamo V3, 2.2 Ohm heads and 7.5 Watts. Currently my Protank II has some Halo Tribeca in it. I'm sorry. I really wish I could help but I hope someone can shed some light on what's going on.

Wait for it....

So i assume you've done some moving/changing the arrangement/configuration of flavor wicks correct?

I can only offer one sure solution. Get some 100% cotton sterile cotton balls from CVS and start making progressively larger flavor wicks until it stops flooding starts having wicking issues, then move down. Im sure this would work similarly using silica.

I haven't changed anything on my heads. i pull them out of the package and screw them into place and prime, let it sit for a bit then vape. the flooding happens 3-4 times a day. none of my other tanks with the cartos flood. and when it floods its in the center tube and the center pin connection on my vamo

98% of the problems with any PT(1, 1.5, 2)/EVOD tank lies in the heads.

One little flavor wick outta position on a thinner juice and its gurgle city.

Are you familiar with how to open up a PT head and see what your flavor wicks look like and if they're arranged properly?

Yeah i have pulled one open it has 2 small wicks on top of the main coil, My Local B&M had told me that I could take them apart and pull one of the 2 extra wicks out of there so it stops burning

It's disassembly time. Take the tank apart. You want to check to see if the tank o-rings are evenly seated all around. If not, that can be one source of the problem. Check the edges of the glass for any gross imperfections. Minor chipping is to be expected. But if there is a big chip/chunk missing from one of the edges of the glass it needs to be replaced - it will never make a proper seal to the o-ring.

Ok, well make sure theyre sitting next to each other evenly, then reinstall the stem and look how well the wick notches are filled by the main wick/flavor wicks.

Fluff the wicks so there are no tiny gaps visible, then reinstall the silicone cup and make sure it doesnt create any new gaps as it compresses the wicks.

Worst case scenario rob a flavor wick out of one head and put it in the other (total of 3) and see if it will even wick, i cant imagine it flooding.

Also make sure the head is snug in the base, not crazy tight, but nicely snug.

Kanger Tech PT2 heads? But you have kept both wicks on the coil........

I had a problem with the burning, so when I talked to my Local B&M he suggested to take it apart and pull one of the flavor wicks and leave the other one in there above the coil. I am thinking that is why they are leaking now. but IDK im frustrated with this thing right now
