I had a problem with the burning, so when I talked to my Local B&M he suggested to take it apart and pull one of the flavor wicks and leave the other one in there above the coil. I am thinking that is why they are leaking now. but IDK im frustrated with this thing right now

How frustrated were you when you dropped a hot cherry on your new nice shirt/coat and ruined it while you were a smoker?:p

Once you learn the quirks of your *edit* Puritank *edit*, you should have a relatively trouble free experience with it, minus standard maintenance.

98% of the problems with any PT(1, 1.5, 2)/EVOD tank lies in the heads.

How true it is. Sad, but true. I have 3 PT2's and all had the same problem (at one point or another). Like the OP, I was ready to throw them all out and go back to the T2. That is until I learned how to recoil them using cotton wick. I'm not saying you have to use cotton, that's just what I use and like.

I think the problem is that the factory wicks are just too small. Both the coil wick and the flavor wicks. As has been suggested, replace the flavor wicks with cotton. That should greatly help if not completely eliminate the problem. Also, do a little research on rebuilding the coils (using cotton, silica or whatever). It's really easy once you get the hang of it and doesn't take long at all.

it looks like that. here is the pictureView attachment 255957

Its a Puritank (originally made by Dbox i believe) larger capacity version of Protank 1 (glued) tank, with the obv removable drip tip. I have one, it works fine when applying the info posted in this thread.

I will try to put some 100% cotton in with that. but what happens when i get it to stop flooding and it goes back to burning. that was the whole issue that started this whole thing. if it didn't leak it would burn

After a bit of tinkering, you'll learn how to make your cotton flavor wicks to accommodate different mixes of juice.

Bigger/thicker wicks for thin juices, wispy wicks for thick juices.

Just remember to always prime well when using cotton.

Just re-read your original post. 9.5 watts seems a bit high! My current coil is 2.1 ohms and I have my Vamo set to 3.6v. That's under 7 watts. If I go even to 3.8v it starts tasting burnt. Granted, every juice is a little different and I do have sweet juice in it but, 9.5 watts seems a bit high! Try setting it to 6 watts, vape a while, set to 6.5, vape a while, etc. When it starts tasting burnt, dial it down a little. That will be the sweet spot (for that juice).

How's the airflow for your PT? Without hitting the button you should be able to draw air through it quite easily - if that's not the case, try loosening it until you get a clear airflow - if you're using a beauty ring you can then screw that up to meet the tank and hold it in place.

That solved the issues I was having with my PT - with it screwed down tightly you shut off all the airflow and it becomes a juice-straw.

Every now and then when one of my evod/protank heads fails for some reason it just leaks like crazy. Im not sure what starts it, but it happened to me a few weeks ago and I was on vacation, and of course being dumb I forget a spare head. So I rewicked it with cotton from a qtip, and bam, stopped leaking. Also was able to up the wattage quite a bit and get a much better vape from it. So literally all I did was rewick the thing, and it stopped leaking, and even though it wasn't leaking, it was wicking better and allowing me to have a warmer vape...

One thing these BCC rely on is vacuum pressure. It literally shouldn't wick easily or leak unless you are sucking on it. To check your tank easily, just unscrew the entire bottom, cover it with your thumb, and suck, you should get nothing

I wouldn't hesitate to bet its likely that your juice is just flowing a little too freely, and that rewicking those coils would be an adventure you would not regret
