Hey guys, I got my ProTank about 5 days ago and I'm lovingg it so farr. Huge, thick plumes of vapor with the stock 2.5ohm Protank-head that came with it.. I heard that using EVOD-head with the ProTank will help give it a tighter draw, so I ordered some of those with it (also 2.5ohm even though I ordered 1.8s)

My first (stock) protank head burnt out after 5 days and only about 6 refills, which I thought was a little odd. Anyways, I screwed on my Evod-coil onto the PT last night to try it out, worked great for a few hours and I enjoyed the tighter draw..

Well this morning I woke up and went to take a drag, and noticed my PT was gurgling and not giving me a good thick hit like it usually does.. I opened it up to find a decent amount of juice had leaked into the center-post and into my battery. I cleaned it out and dry-dragged a few times (which resulted in some juice in my mouth) and tried again, but it's still leaking slightly.. And it's giving me a super thin vapor and not much of it, which I know has to do with the leak

.. What's the problem?? Has anybody else had this issue? I never took any 'flavor-wick' out and haven't modded my PT at all, this is kind of disapointing

Is your juice thick and heavy on the VG or thin like mine and heavy on the PG? I was going to try the EVOD heads, but seems I read where that may cause leaking with thinner juices. I have had no problems sticking to the ProTank heads. Also check and make sure the coil head is screwed in well on every juice refill.

Did you take off the long post and switch it with the shorter eVod post before using it? If you look at the two heads side by side, the Protank head is "taller". Take those pieces off, putting the taller piece on the eVod head. I got this information from the sweetvapes website.

I thought that the skinnier post is what made the draw not as airy. Cause it's smaller.

2nd evod head - worked great for a few hours, now it's leaking just like the other. Standard 50/50 Reduced-PG juice I always use.. I didn't switch the posts on the evod and Protank head, just tried each one as they came..

I wouldn't have bought the evod-heads for the tighter draw on my PT if I knew each one would leak all over the place. I'm out of juice now too and half of my last ProTank leaked out

I hope you didn't do it cause of my post. I feel a bit responsible then. I vape 60/40 pg/vg and it works well. It does gurgle sometimes so does my evods. I think mostly due to temperature change. It's the nature of the beast I guess with these type clearos. I do get gurgle as well when it gets a bit low. So i try to refill more often.

I did see your post, but that's not the only reason. I saw it on a website description for the ProTank and heard it from many others, so don't blame yourself lol. This week has just been horrible, lost my phone today too and I'm waiting on a call for a job at my local B&M

You got any 1 mm silica laying around? Maybe you can add one extra flavor wick.

No extra wick around, I haven't gotten into re-wicking and modding and such yet, but will in the future.. My Protank with the Evod head on it though seams to be starting to work better now, still gurgling but not leaking as much or at all I don't think. It may be giving me off less vapor and thinner vapor than with the Protank head on it though, it's hard too tell.

I'll keep an eye on it and let you guys know.. Thanks for the help Eric and everyone else!

Not a horrible leak, but my Protank is still leaking slightly with the eVod-coil.. I feel like it's effecting the amount of vapor I get, and vapor thickness and flavor slightly. I don't have this problem with the ProTank replacement-coils that came with it although they burned out quick, I'll stick to those after I burn through (literally, lol) these evod-coils.
.. I've been unscrewing my Protank from my battery every 45min or so to wipe about 1 or 2 drops out of my battery with tissue.

Will this slight leaking hurt my battery at all?? It's a Vision Spinner

Yeah, I've since ended up switching back to the ProTank coils.. No leaking at all with the ProTank coil-heads so I'll be sticking to these, the airy draw was different but I've gotten used to it and I think I enjoy it more now.

I tried 3 different EVOD coil-heads and each one let some juice leak into my battery, enough to the point where my tank would hardly give me any vapor if I didn't wipe my battery clean every hour or 2.. Luckily, a friend traded me his ProTank heads for my evods

Now I just need to find a website that has ProTank coils in stock!! Was going to purchase them from DV the other day, but waited too long, now they're all out!

Yeah I haven't heard of this happening with anyone else though, so maybe I just got a faulty ProTank? I got the $14 one from ivape.net, I saw on another post that you got yours there too.. And if you happen to have 1 evod head, I read that you can just take off the metal post (above the wick) and switch it with the ProTank's post - same effect

I've had my protank for about a week, and immediately swapped the head for an evod after reading that it tightened the draw (about the loosest draw I like is a T2). No leaks at all, my protank is the $14.95 from ivape, same as yours, if I read correctly. I've been using 100% VG and 80/20 PG/VG in it. Vapor production has been great, only issue I'm having is "two-month-tastebuds", but thats with all my clearos right now.
