I've been using the Kanger T3s clearos since they first came out and have been extremely happy with them. Up until recently, I've had no leakage problems to speak of, BUT, in the past few weeks I've had 3 of them fail completely. They all began leaking between the bottom of the plastic tank and the metal ring. I think it is because I have become a little careless handling them. I have been considering going to the Kanger Protank Mini II as a more robust replacement for the T3s.

My question is this: are the heads for the T3s interchangeable with the heads for the Protank Mini II. I've seen various opinions on this on ECF. I ask this because I have a pretty big supply of T3s heads (in various resistances) that I have accumulated over the past year. I seem to have the habit of getting a five pack of heads every time I go into my local B&M for juice so I probable have 25 or 30 heads in reserve.

Another question: Is the Protank Mini II less likely to leak than the T3s?

Thanks for any advice.

Don’t forget mini Protanks are breakable glass. You can replace the glass and o-rings though.

I’ve used the T3s heads in eVods and Protanks with no problems. Some people say they leak, but that wasn’t the case for me.

Funny-- those happen to be the two tanks I use. :) The heads are different between the two. Biggest (only?) difference I've noticed is that the (not sure what to call it) disc that surrounds the coil is wider on the mini PT2 heads. If my toddler cooperates, I may be able to get a picture later so it's clearer what I'm talking about. At any rate, the mini PT2 heads definitely would not fit properly in the T3S tank. Vice versa, they probably fit, but I haven't tried it and don't know if you'd have any issues actually using it.

ETA--> It's your lucky day; he cooperated! Photo from directly overhead:

Hey guys-

Thank you all for your replies. I went to my local B&M and picked up the mini PT2. My first impression is that it is built like a brick sh#t-house compared to it's brother, the T3S and it is definitely a big improvement in the non-leakage department.

The only thing that I don't like is the capacity and it seems to be a little tougher to fill than the T3S. I improvised a blunt tip needle on a juice squeeze bottle to make it easier to fill, but it still has to be topped of a lot more frequently than it's brother.

I tried one of the T3S heads in the mini PT and it seems to work as well as the PT heads, so I will be able to use my stash of T3S heads with the mini. Looks like this will become my go-to clearo for a while.

Thanks again for the replies - all good info

KEEP ON VAPING!!!!

You can try one of these...Smoktech ARO Pyrex Glass BCC - Black

They can use the T3 heads and to me taste the same as a T3 but its glass on the inside. Can't use your own drip tip though but you couldn't with the T3 either. They hold the same amount as the T3 too.

You gave me link to the ARO and the link says that you have to use ARO heads - whazzup?
