My fiance likes her Evod tank, she also likes my Protank 2 with the aero base...I know she will never fiddle with the adjustable airflow so I was looking into the Protank mini 2.

HOw do they compare, she tends to like it more on the "airy" side and complained that my Protank 2 was too hard to suck, how is the airflow on the PT mini 2?

the protanks 1 2 and 3 use the 510 threading which has its problems including interfering with the airflow.

the miniprotank uses the outer eGo threads and frees up space in the 510 threading area, and has two pin hole through which air flows; I like the toot! toot! like a choo choo train through those holes; actually i use the base from the mini on my protanks; I don't actually use the miniprotanks themselves; I put the base on my protank and add and extra inverted silicone cap on the atomizer head to seal the space above it to the center tube.

If she likes the Evod already, then the miniprotank will just seem like a glass version of it. Unfortunately the Evod base wont work on the protank; it sticks to far up and leaves no room for the atomizer.

evods aren't disposable.

Oh;; yeah; that's right; one of the pluses on the Evod is the metal outer protective jacket;

just scraped paint off one to confirm; seems glued to the plastic; maybe one day I'll wreck on and see if I can fit the metal jacket over the miniprotank; would serve more use protecting glass than plastic.

Well, the Evod is all well and good, I have 2 myself. But for me, there's no comparison to a vape in pyrex. So much better flavor! I used to use my Evods at work, but I've begun taking my mini protanks instead lately. Just yummy.

Now, for the same size, basically, you could look into the Aro 2, made by Smoktech. Or even the Aro, original. The Aro 2 is smaller, great throat hit, vapor production and taste. Cheaper. It's housed just like an evod, but made of stainless steel over pyrex. Sturdy. The larger Aro, is also steel over pyrex, much less throat hit, good vapor production, but it gets gurgly. I'm really liking the Aro 2. Probably about as much as my mini protank. I know Discount Vapers sells them very reasonably priced.

The big difference between the Evod and the Protank is that you can vape juices that tend to crack plastic tanks with the latter.

The evod is plastic; it has an outer metal jacket with 2 small windows to see the level of liquid; with weight from the metal jacket, and the smallness of the window might leave you thinking that it is glass inside, but I checked mine by scratching with a small flathead jeweller's screwdriver. It's plastic

I prefer my EVODs over my Mini Protanks. The draw is very similar but it's harder to fill the Mini Protank 2 and I prefer the plastic mouthpiece of the EVOD. The metal drip tip that comes with the Protanks is very cold in the winter time and it's only removable on the newer versions. I have the newer style but my 510 drip tips look stupid on it so I just leave the factory ones in place. I only use my Protanks for tank cracker liquids--cinnamon in one, lemonade in my regular Protank and my 2nd mini is a backup. I can't be without my cinnamon or lemonade--lol. If she really likes airy draws--the original Protank is the airiest tank I have ever tried. It's a top heavy beast though on an ego battery but it makes a cool magic wand or scepter on the longer egos!

Yep; that metal mouthpiece on the protanks is a problem for me too; I gotta get a batch of decent mouthpieces.
