Protank taste like metal.

I bought a protank last weekend. I put my all day vape of peach pit tobacco from pink spot into it. vaped it for about a week, I had wiped it out but not cleaned out and just put more juice in it. Now every time I vape on it, it taste like metal. I am going to try and vape the rest of the juice in it and clean it good, but just wanted to know if anyone else had noticed this?

Have you put a new coil unit in the pro-tank? A dry burn might be of some use as well.

Never put juice in a new tank without thoroughly cleaning it first with water, including the head. All kinds of crap in there from manufacturing processes including machining oils.

IVE had metallic type tastes from dirty heads. Do a thorough clean, if that doesnt work after clean, qick dry burn, refill...let us know.

I just got mine today and had a similar burnt taste problem. After reading about removing the top wick I did that (mine had 3 wicks, I removed both on top) and ran hot water through the head. I also did a dry burn and after that it is working very well. I am very suprised at the performance of this tank.

I soak everything in everclear to clean it.

I purchased two of them about a month ago and am getting the same metallic taste. Same juices taste fine in plastic. I do think the metal tip, which I don't like at all, has something to do with it. I have been using one of the silicone protectors I got when I was tasting some juices at a B&M on the metal tip. It looks stupid but it helps with the texture of the tip.

Take a tissue, roll it up enough to fit in the drip tip and swab it out after some use. None of my juices are dark grey. That tells me the 'metal' is breaking down on the inside of the drip tip, much like the pitting that is slowly happening on the metal pieces of the tank.

Throw out the stock drip tips after buying quality ones and you may be surprised at the difference in taste.

my mini pro tank II and my protank II tast fine but my i clear 30 has a bad metal tast to it, i have cleaned it vodca everclear and water, and it still tast bad

personally, i'd have to entertain the idea that you may be sensitive to metals. I am. since i'm sensitive, the metal flavor builds up over time. then i react once it's very strong. even surgical grade stainless steel makes me react.

for this reason, i've changed over to protank II's and use a plastic drip tip.
