I've been noticing for 2 weeks now that both my Protank & Mini Protank wont make contact on either of my 2 MVP's or SVD

I have now found the reason, They work fine until I jockey them around and after the Vamo, they dont make contact.
I've got to slightly tug on the center pin(s) and all is well again, until the V5. Its like it pushes the pin up into the base
just enough to not work on anything else. This is frustrating. I like playing with several mods.
any body seen this or have a fix?

thanks
Dave

Remove the head from the PT base and pull back out the contact pins on the head, its likely that they have pushed up into/compressed the rubber grommet. Easiest method is to use your fingernail and wiggle it out a bit, doesn't take much force. This smashing of the grommet can also effect airflow to the head.

*EDIT* To prevent it from happening install the tank till it just starts to snug up/connect, then tighten the vamos top ring up against the bottom of the tank for support/to fill the gap.

Vamos have notorious connection problems-their center pin design is definitely problematic. Try xtwosm0kesx's advice on the protank head. Also, I've found with finicky pins, very slowly screw the top on and fire...a little more and fire again. Repeat until you get a connection. Never get frustrated and twist too much or that center pin will go down too far to fire.

Update! Breaking News! I have solved my problem, I dont have a pic to upload but what I did was make a spacer
I took a piece of a black Folgers coffee lid, it is .03 thick or .76 mm
Drilled several 5/64 holes, then took my grandkids Hole Punch and punched out these little spacer/washers
Slide the coil pin out and placed one of the spacer on it, replaced, tested, On the MVP, then on the Vamo, back to MVP
several times, All works fine, It just holds the pin out a hair farther than stock. No different than what I was doing my manually
pulling it out just a bit each time.

thanks
Dave
