So I wrote an extremely positive review of the Kanger Protank this week, and I've now been using it for 5 days. I've removed one of the wicks, cleaned and dry burned, refilled it multiple times, and the flavor and vapor are still satisfying. However... yesterday it just started whistling when I inhale through it; the air coming through it is making a literal whistling/squeaking sound and it's driving me crazy. Any suggestions?

If it helps, I've used it on a Vamo and a Lavatube V2, but it whistles even when it's not attached to anything. And the sound happens no matter how full the tank is. I have some tank airflow controllers on the way in the mail, but if anyone has any other thoughts they'd be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks, but unfortunately I tried that and it made no difference. Maybe we're getting the whistling sound from different parts of the tank. I try not to be too picky about the looks of a device, or the sound it makes, but this is honestly so annoying that I had to put my Protank away and go back to plain old Boge cartos by themselves (not even in a tank). Topping them off is annoying, but I have to say I'm enjoying myself again.

By the way, I love KMFDM. I saw them back on on the Blitz tour and again this year. Great shows.

Hmm. I've tried 3 heads in it and it makes the same sound with all of them. So my guess is it's either something weird going on with the glue that connects the glass to the bottom, or it's the holes in the 510 threads of the base. I have some tank airflow controllers coming in the mail (hopefully today) so I'll see if that fixes the problem.

Either way, it looks like there may be a Protank 2 around the corner so I'll definitely try one of those: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/440799-kanger-pro-tank-2-next-pro-tank.html

Thanks guys.

Update: Problem solved.

Edit 2: Eh, after playing around with it, the whistling only goes away when the airflow controller is tightened ALL the way. Time to fill a carto. Thanks anyway, folks. Let's let this thread peacefully drift away. :p
