Sometimes I have to open up a Protank head and remove a wick for my 100% VG juices so it flows better. Spent the better part of an hour trying to get the darn shaft back in when it dawned on me to put some ejuice on the join and it went right in. 
Hope to save someone else the aggravation I just went through. Tore up some fingernails, but I'm on the mend now.
