Protanks: Have I been vaping burnt rubber?

So, I just got the new head design for the Mini protank 3. I realized the rubber seal is much smaller, and the taste is a lot better.

My question is; with previous versions of the atomizer protank head where the rubber seal is larger and touches the wick, the burnt taste comes a lot quicker. Does this mean I have been basically inhaling rubber fumes? Not sure if this is a dumb question, but I'm pretty terrified at the prospect.

I've actually had the same fear about this. To resolve it I try not to venture over 10 watts with a single coil protank. Resolve what you say? Possibly inhaling rubber fumes. I haven't seen many threads on this topic, either. It's very likely it has happened, so be careful dude!

Yeah, I've never seen any burnt marks on my rubber seal, but the wicks often get burnt; which I always figured where the problem was. I'm just pretty freaked out if I've been inhaling rubber fumes for months.

The newer PT heads use a silicone insulator as opposed to the rubber ones in the older heads. I could taste the rubber and switched to silicone as soon as they were available. Ive never tasted rubber with any kanger coil. I usually turn the cups upside down though.

Rubber is natural material.
The seal does not contact the COIL which is the HOT part
The burn taste is either Dry burning to long and heating the Coil legs to the point of slightly charring the Grommet or Burnt Caramelized e-liquid on the coil/wick.

There is little to Panic over in vaping except Battery Shorts or Swallowing a Drip Tip.
