anyone know how to make this work? Is it a length issue? The top threads on the slim seem to have plenty of space to allow a longer battery, is that the issue or is it the girth of the batteries?

Unfortunately protected batteries are to fat to fit, been using unprotected for month's with no problems even been using L/R atomizers with no problem

width is the most important issue my friend MAS and maybe length too. When I made the first slim we didnt knew anything about protected 10440 batteries so I made it in the dimentions of the non protected batteries. But a small battery like this and at 3,7 volts and with the vent holes of GG are safe for use to my opinion:)

I've tried half a dozen protected batteries with my old version Slim - only a couple are thin enough to slide in easily (slight differences due to the protection strip and covering) - but you don't want to force them in and damage the plastic covering which protects against a short circuit. Length-wise they are not too bad, there is a 2mm gap where the button cap doesn't screw in fully. Also, the button does not push in quite as far.
