Obviously the 3100mah will last longer, but as far as safety and performance. Which one do you guys think will perform better?

I'm going to be using on a Reo Grand(Reosmods.com recommend the AW IMR 18650 1600mah 3.7), but if they're going to perform the same then I'll just grab the higher mah one for my spare. Already ordered one of Protected ones btw, but wanted more info for my spare.

the imr is what is recommended for the reo grand. the 3100mah will be too long

Thanks but what do you mean too long? Will the performance drop after a while? Wouldn't the performance drop on the 1600 as well?

Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to get more info before I jump into something, when there's something better and in this case cheaper.

The protected 2600mah AW 18650 compresses the neg.spring too much(the 3100 should be the same length) and is a tight fit in my grand. The IMR 18650 is shorter in length because it is a safer chemistry and don't have a protection circuit. It fits great,no rattlin around and the spring still has some spring to it,a nice feature if your atty or carto shorts out it will let the spring collapse and break the connection(if yer not pushing the button too hard). That said,it should work.
