I can see some bubbling on the edge so know there is a protective covering on the PCC but I don't know if I should remove it. I don't think I've ever seen anything scuff as badly as these PCCs do and don't know if removing the covering would help or hurt. I keep them sitting on a rubber thingy for opening jars all day so they're not even on a hard surface except when laid on my patio table outside and this thing already looks like I've had it a year instead of a month. The only other way I use it is sliding it in and out of a cloth bag I protect it with in my purse. Granted, it can only be seen when closely examined (tilting back and forth in good light/sun) now and don't want to risk removing the cover if it will get worse and be more noticeable. Has anyone removed the film from their PCC? Thanks.

They look better without the plastic covering. The plastic covering scuffs much easier than the actual eRoll, but the eRoll does scratch up. So it's really just your own preference. I took mine off right away.
I took mine of right away also, have had my eRoll almost two months now, and you would have to look very hard to see any scratches on it.

I treat it the same way as I would my mobile phone or any other of my other electronic devices and try my best not to put it down or carry it in any way that may scratch it.

I do have a phone sock I sometimes use to protect it, but most of the time my eRoll is in my back pocket. But at the end of the day it is up to you, if it bothers you protect it, if it doesn't bother you don't.

For what it's worth I took the protective covering off and so far mine looks okay. The only thing is that subtle finger prints show up on it. But I can swipe it on my pants and it looks good again.

Maybe take the covering off of just one side (the back side?) and see after a while if you like the difference. If you do, take it off the front too.
