Decided to order some items from ProVape for my new Mini: pila 2-battery charger, a 510-Ego adaptor and a steel drip tip.

The 510-Ego adaptor is simply not machined well. My EVOD / ProTank Mini tanks only screw down about 3/4 of a turn and are loose. It's not at all what I was expecting given the awesome reviews on ProVape on the product. Of all of my tanks (8 or so), only 2 would screw down far enough to even vape. Even then, it didn't feel secure on the Mini. I have to say it was a giant let down. :?:

The drip tip was the same. It wouldn't fit into my cartos which I'm pretty sure are just Boge cartos that are prepunched. I tried every carto I had, i couldn't get it down in there.

The charger on the other hand is pretty awesome. I got the adapter for the 18350 batteries as well. Seems much better than my crappy generic 1-battery charger and the instructions were in real, well-written english.

1 out of 3? Not great. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if I can return / exchange the adapter and drip tip.:glare:

I have 2 of the 510 / eGo adapters from ProVape.. VERY high quality milled SS. :) About the only USA-made version I recall ever seeing. I've had them a long time. The last time I used one was with a Kanger T3, and it worked well. The cheap eGo adapters are usually made from plated brass, which will strip over time if used with SS connectors.

There are knock-offs of the Kangers (often sold as genuine Kanger) which may differ in QC. I've also observed that even with high-end drip-tips from other makers, it's not a "one-size-fits-all" for everything out there.

I'm certain ProVape wlll take care of your issue though.. :)

Drip tips and how they fit into cartos can vary quite a bit. There are different sized o-rings on tips and I'm convinced not all cartos and attys are the same diameter. I've had some tips that will barely stay in place and others that are very tight - in one case I had to use a bolt cutter to free a glass tip from a stubborn carto. I've taken to switching o-rings between different tips if the one I want to use doesn't fit, and with the glass one I don't use an o-ring at all anymore. QC at it's best kids!

I got the drop tip to fit. I just needed to work it in a bit. Hoping I just ordered the wrong one on the adapter. Guess I'll know tomorrow.

Do you have any other mods, like a Vamo or a Zmax? Even though they have eGo threading, you can still use a 510 to eGo adaptor on them. I curious if the same problem occurred if you tried the adaptor on something else.

I got my adapters from a B&M in Little Rock where I am working and they're made really well, fit the Evods, and Provari very nicely!

They are only like $4.25, I could pick anyone up some and drop them in the mail for $10.00 a piece LOL

Although my adapter from porvape works, the kanger T3s and CE's only screw down about 3/4 of a turn also. Don't know if that's just the way it is or not. I'm subscribed.

I guess you're screwed.

LOL!! :) I'm just trying to figure-out what the issue can be. I did purchase my adapters way over a year ago.. Perhaps longer.

If the ProVape adapter does not work, chances are high another 510 / eGo adapter won't either..

EDIT: I would just try purchasing some new Kanger bases to try if one really likes the Kangers.. Here are some T3S bases, which are IMO, much easier to rebuild than the originals:

The replacement coils:

EDIT: I have both original, and the T3S bases.. All work with my adapters. The only thing I can think of in-common is that they are all genuine Kanger items. I know Bucky's are since he ordered directly from them.

When I purchased my Provari a few months ago, I also ordered the 510-Ego adaptor. I have the same exact issue the OP has. Evods and Davide mini, etc. do not screw in all the way. They work but are not stable on it. I rarely use mine since I mainly use 510 carto tanks now. But yes, I have the same issue.

I should be receiving this adapter from madvapes today. For $2.99 I figure I would try out. Will report back in a few hours when the mail comes in.

510 to eGo Adapter with Well

After seeing the responses here, I think i know what the issue is...

The ATTY in the EVOD comes down too low to allow the tank to screw all the way down. When I try the atty housing wihtout an atty in it, the adapter screws down further. So my conclusion would be that the adapter is too tall for the EVOD with an Atty in it.

I have been using the adapters I got from Rogue Vapers in Little Rock, AR, and I have had no problems with my Evods sitting perfect on my Provari.

It comes down to "who" they are getting the adapters from.

There are good and bad from all suppliers; just because it is Chinese doesn't mean it's junk...it also doesn't mean it's the same quality from supplier to another!

All these adapters are made on automated lathes, some adjusted better than others!

Luckily the owner of the B&M looks for the better stuff, and deals with the better vendors....

I too have had some adapters I think I could have done better myself using stone tools!
