I have a z Atty pro running at 1.5ohms

I can only keep it at 4.8volts which is about 15.5 watts

I stuck the z Atty on my prodigy and vaped it at 6v... Big difference...

Is there a good reason to keep the provari because I'm disappointed my 3 year old mod can push out so much more watts.

I'm curious what your voltage drop running a 1.5 ohm coil at 6 volts was. I'd guess it was actually closer to 5 volts under load. The provari at 4.8 volts should be actually pushing 4.8 volts.

Stacking batteries isn't the safest option, especially compared to the Provari which is running a single cell with lots of protection built into the electronics. I bet the run time is far superior, especially considering that the stacked battery mod would probably drop under 4.8 volts under load after not too much usage.

Prodigy 6v stays at 6v doesn't it? So you're telling me that the prodigy is not getting exactly 6v?

2 rcr123a 3.0v batteries unregulated

I don't trust stacked batteries at all that's why I bought a provari.. I went to a local cape shop.. The owner showed me the difference between 15w vs whatever he had which was crazy

Actual under load is 5.65 volts

Still puts out over 21watts

Sub ohm is exactly what is says under 1 ohm. Wire or ribbon it doesn't really matter, either one will get you where you want to go. Lower number of coils on ribbon take the same area as more wire coils. It's kinda like the voltage wattage thing two different ways to get to the same point. It's a matter of preference more than anything else.

I'm using my provari as a daily vape but I want to make a really powerful one to keep in case I fell like using it

What do you suggest

I keep one genesis rba with ss mesh at .8Ω on a mech (Roller from atmizoo) But I've quit using mesh with my Provari's. You can use silica in your zap and the Provari can run it better. I have eckowool (a different weave of silica) in my DID and RSST on provari's and it's awesome.
