I have a provari on order and I was planning on running a DCT map tank on it. However, on clouds of vapors instructions it says dual coils are not recommended? I was going to run 2.5 and 3ohm in my DCT.

Anyone have any issues running dual coils with the Provari?

If so, is there single coil XL cartos that will fit in the DCT MAP?

P.S.

I prob wont get a response since I am forced to post in the newbies thread and anyone with experience can't respond to this. Sucks! :(

You now have 5 posts. Wait 1 hour and you'll be able to post anywhere.

You can't run 1.5 DC but 3.0 are fine. Just researching the addition of tank on my Provari. Apparently the Provari will cut it off if too low. Try a 2.0 or 3.0 ohm.

the lower the ohms the lower setting you will have to use like 3.4-3.7, found this out when i got my provari and acidentally stuck a 1.75 dc on it. it gave me the error screen but backed down to 3.7 and it ran all day then gave me an error again so i backed it down to 3.4 ad it was all good. ended up switching to 3.0 though so i could test juice at different voltage.

"People with experience" can respond, we just can't start new threads here. And you shouldn't have any problem with 2.5 or 3.0 ohm cartos. I use Boge 3.0 cartos every day, and it's the resistance, not the number of coils.

That's exactly what I was thinking also. It just said on their site not to use dual coil for some reason. All adding more coils will do is change the resistance, and as long as the resistance is 2.5 to 3.0 it should be fine, one would think.

Any idea why they say not to run them?

When the DC cartos first came out, they were all 1.5 to 2.0 ohm, and those don't work well on the ProVari. That's when the warning got posted.

I tried dual coil and wasn't happy with them. I prefer a warmer vape, and the dual coils just couldn't give me that unless I really cranked the voltage, and then they tasted burnt. I hope you have better luck.

Perfect! I knew it had to be some reason like that. I found some XL 2.6ohm singles I just ordered, along with the 2.6 and 3.0 duals. I will report back with some results once I receive them.

Thanks again for all you replies!

Awesome :)

I have 6 tanks running right now. 75, 210, 500, 600, 600 and a 3500 gallon. 600 is used for keeping my stingray pups, 3500 is their main tank and the others ones are for breeding the food for my rays. I have leo, henlies, perals and a few marbled motoros. My fish are arowanas and large cat fish but I also have different chiclids/tilapia I breed an duse for food for the other large fish.

If you get a chance check out live fish direct, they have hte best selection I have ever seen for rare chilids.

I got a dual coil that rings in at 1.6 that works on my provari. I can only run it up to 4.2V before it gives me an error.

Does it vape pretty good at 4.2 with only 1.6? Any burnt flavor? I was just going to rip out the carts in there and replace them right away with the 3ohms but maybe I will give them a shot first.
