ProVari and the 18650 Battery

I recently bought two 18650 batteries and was assured they would work fine in my ProVari. I get two or three fires out of them and the button starts flashing. I can unscrew the bottom cap and then screw it back and the flashing stops but this problem is not seen with the original two batteries I got from ProVape. What is the problem?


Side Note: I have ordered two more 18650 batteries from ProVape.

Uh...are the batteries fully charged? What kind of 18650 batteries did you get?

Question: button top or flat top and what are they?

Provape recommends the AW IMR although I do use 2 Efest IMR in mine (18350 I got a Mini). And taking the bottom cap off resets the flashing light.

They are both button tops. The manufacturer is NOT always easy to find. What I have is the Efest 2000 mAh. They were made in China. IMR 18650 3.7V Lithium.

These batteries are just as fully charged as my originals.

Could be bum batteries then or your charger is bad. No problems with my Efest.

Have you tried cleaning the positive contact, the spring, and the threads of the Provari? My guess is it is a battery issue. But, it cant hurt to do some basic maintenance on the Provari.

My charger works fine with my original two batteries. Every time I refill with juice, change a battery, or place a new delivery system onto a device, I clean everything. Q-tips and Kleenex are always on hand. I will compare the new batteries I ordered and then make a comparison determination. I may have just gotten some bad batteries but I HATE spending money on bad product!
