I am having problems with the UltraFire BRC 18650 3600mAh 3.7v. I fully charged them and they will not fire. The light on the mod blinks a few times but after that no fire. Any clues?
Well, my little experiment gave me odd results. I figured it might me the protection on the battery so I removed them from both ends. I put it in the ProVari and it fired no problem. Doesn't make me feel safe with that battery in there like that, but what the hell? Any other ideas?

Hey Dj,
Provape ONLY recommends the IMR AW 18650/18490/18500 batteries (the red ones) as the Provari has a safety circut built into it.
You might want to be careful b4 you void the warranty (unless you already have due to this thread). Any 18650 with a built in circut board will/might not work in the Provari dueto the board in that PV.
Look on the Provape sitewith in the Provari stock button and you will see what Provape recommends.

I did that too, i think for the provari it is ok, the imrs are not protected too, the provari has a build in current limiting circuit, so it should be safe
The ultrafire 3600 mah are slow drain batteries. On a 3.7 mod they did poorly vs the 3000 mah ultrafires. The same in a flashlight. I do not like the 3600's at all.
