Provari battery life

My 18650 batteries charge to 4.2 v and stop firing at 3.2 v on my Provari. How long that takes depends on my coil ohms. The higher the ohms the faster the discharge. I seem to get the best performance at around 1.5 - 1.8 ohms. The button starts flashing at 3.5 volts but will continue to fire down to 3.2 volts, when the safety shuts it off.

the provari board isn't very efficient. One of the few drawbacks of the device.

I believed the Provari was rather efficient. ProVape claims 95% or 90-95% efficiency in their FAQ (they make both claims). What is your source? It would be interesting to see some independent tests.

On a ProVari, my Kayfun burns out batteries at a faster rate than do my Sophias, at the same voltage setting. The ohms on the Kayfun are lower, which is what casues this. I only use AW IMR batteries. It also does not really seem to matter much if the batteries are new or if I have had them for awhile. If you have several batteries available, it is not really an issue.

my personal experience comparing a provari v2 with an OG smok Zmax. I would fully drain a Sanyo 1500mah battery in a work day with my provari. The same battery would run all day and a couple hours into the next on my Zmax. The 3.2v cutoff on the provari came about the same time as the 3.6v dropoff on the Zmax. Both were run at roughly 9-10 watt

Those batteries you are using are rewrapped Panasonic CGR18650CH. They are a good battery but I would consider an upgrade to the 2900mah Panasonic hybrids when you buy more batteries.

Now just so this doesn't turn into a provari argument, the provari was still a better device.

With AW 18490s, vaping roughly 3-4 Ml per day, I generally get 12 hours a day on my Mini (with a KF or genny topper set at 4 - 4.5 volts).

Having said that, I recently ran into problems with battery time, where I was often needing 1 or 2 spares during the day. The problem seems to be with my Trustfire charger; sometimes it will show a battery as full recharged, but a voltage test will show that the battery actually has 3.6 volts or less.

I'm more careful about recharging now, and once again i'm getting 12 hours of more of vaping from a single 18490. But I plan to pickup a Nitecore charger asap.

I just got a provari/russian 91% this past weekend. I'm not getting a full day on 18650 batteries. I vape about 3 Mil a day and my voltage is 3.8-4.0. It seems like it should be longer or am I wrong?

You got your ProVari working on Sanyo batteries? I've tried Panasonics and Efests, flat top and button top, without success. Did you do anything special to get the Sanyos working?

It all depends on how hard you are pushing the Provari and which batteries are being used. When I had a Provari I was pushing it at its max, ~15 watts. When running it that hard the 10 amp aw 18650's would stop preforming when down to 3.85 volts. The 1600 mah aw's would actually last longer at that level. Would run til 3.6, both measured without a load and after the P. stopped firing and rapid red blink. Using 30 amp bats, could power til 3.4 volts, but had to cheat and use a flat top adaptor.
