I'm not looking for a long answer here with a bunch of technical stats. I'm looking at getting a high end device right now, and honestly I love the look of the darwin. The darwin is a fair amount more money than the provari and unless there is a sugnificant difference in the way they vape I'm leaning towards the provari. If they were the same price I would go darwin. So what I'm getting at is, are the vapes different enough to justify the darwin's price?

I don't know enough about the Darwin to help you there. I do have a ProVari v2.5 and absolutely love it. The functionality and quality of construction are top notch. The thing is a tank.

However, if you REALLY want the Darwin...you'll end up with it eventually anyway, so I'd go for it if you can afford it.

For me, personally, I chose the ProVari and no longer have any want for anything. I may get a mechanical mod at some point just to have one, but my ProVari is just perfection.

I've owned both;
The Darwin has a consumer non replaceable internal battery, I didn't like the thumb wheel W adjustment it was constantly getting moved around by accident. The swivel on/off / 510 connector made it impossible to turn off using juice delivery devices other than an atomizer or cartomizer, also it constantly snagged going in and out of pants pockets. The fire button & thumb wheel felt out of place for me.
pro's - excellent battery life, won't roll or fall over.
The reason I no longer own it is there is no way it would fit with my lifestyle.
Total loss @ 10 days when it slipped out of my shirt pocket into a freeze branding tank filled with dry ice & alcohol. I wasn't sorry to see it go.

Provari ~ every good thing you've heard about them I agree with, every bad thing you've heard I disagree with.
The reason I no longer own it has more to do with the juice delivery devices on top of it, I didn't know about locking carto tanks before I sold it.
It took me 3 minutes to sell, I lost $7 after using it 3 days.

As far as any difference in the way they vape, in my opinion there isn't a dollars worth of difference between them.

2 Provari's 2 Darwin owner Here,,, Both are super and you cant go wrong with either, period ! I do enjoy the VW on the Darwin a bit more however, and the internal Batt is excellent as is the charging process and that internal Batt last a longgg time, one of my Darwins is 2yrs old or more and still going strong like new, and I would gladly pay for Brandon at Evolv the $25 to replace that Batt when need be, they charge super fast and last long, and not having to deal with popping out Batts charging them and replacing or buying 18650's is a + in my opinion.

On the flip side, the Provari is one nice unit, built like a Sherman Tank strong, great chip set in them and a bit more hand friendly ergonomically. Like I said from the get go you cant go wrong with either, Darwins may be harder to get at this time, and with Evolv now making the DNA 20D it may be worth waiting a bit to see what they come out with next, just a thought :)

I have the Darwin as well as a VAMO and have vaped on a Provari. Both the Provari and Darwin are top of the line in build quality. But personally, I would take VW over VV if the price difference was small for the advantages of variable wattage over variable volts. But you can't go wrong with a Provari.

On the price difference, to make a fair comparison, when you add in the cost of the batteries and charger and extra cost for the 2nd year of warranty for the Provari that is standard with the Darwin (2 year warranty standard), there really isn't that much of a price difference.

Along with the variable watts feature with the Darwin, I like the USB charging capablity, being able to charge and vape and never having to carry extra batteries. Although I get 18-24 hours on a charge so it's only a small advantage unless I forget to charge it one night. I also have found it to be pocket friendly due to the flat shape. But as mentioned above, you can't close the arm if using a tank, which I do at times. But that makes it the same approximate length of the full provari with a tank in your pocket so I see that as a wash. I really do like how it lays flat on a table, etc. I don't know how many times I've gone chasing my tube mods as they rolled away from me which is never a problem with the Darwin, lol. Also, the Darwin battery comes with a one year warranty. I've been using mine for two years of heavy vaping and it's still going strong with only a slight drop in length of charge held.

Both are excellent PV's with pros and cons for both. I do think you are going to be seeing more VW model PV's and less VV ones as time goes on.

Wanting a Darwin and getting one two different things. I have a mini Provari and I love it!

I don't think you could go wrong with either. I, like you did so much research when I was debating my big purchase. I don't have a Darwin but like I said you can't go wrong with either from what I've seen & read. After much debate I went with the Provari. It's stopped my search for finding new PV's because it just that great! I now own 2. If I can tell you anything...after torturing myself for weeks on making a decision it would be to go with your gutt! In your mind you already prob know which one you want! Go ahead & order it! I highly doubt you'll be disappointed no matter the choice! Good luck with your decision!

The only thing I have against the Darwin is the folding arm. I couldn't put my RBA on it.

One of the girls at the vape shop I frequent has a Darwin that is over a year and a half old, the battery hasn't been replaced, charges and holds charge just fine. If you meant per charge mine usually lasted around 18 ~ 24 hours depending on R and W used.
It costs $25 + shipping to have the battery changed. You can change it yourself but it will void any remaining warranty.

How long do you think the battery will last? I contacted them by message and asked, but didn't get an answer as to how much it would cost to replace it.

I mentioned this earlier. Mine is still going strong after two years. To replace the battery outside of the 1 year warranty period is $25. The same price as an eGo battery.
