I haven't tried a provari but I think you should try a basic 510 first. Then after a couple weeks get a provari. Give the previous one to a friend. The reason I say this is because you'll appreciate the provari more. How can you appreciate a Mercedes if that is all you have ever drove?

Many thanks to all!!!!!! I'm getting a Provari!!!!! :)Putting my accessory list together now any suggestions?
tanks & cartomizers, 2ohm - 3ohm........a 510-510 sealed adapter......a drip shield......atomizers 2ohm -3.ohm (dripping is a skill all vapers should add to their resumes) :) ...IMO being new, the low resistance attys and cartomizers will drive you nuts figuring out what voltages to use. But others may advise you differently...good luck and have fun with your ProVari liquid.

I've been vaping for six weeks now and have not completely given up analogs. I have bought an 808 and a Joyetech 510-t. I really like the 510-t but want more battery life. I thought about getting an ego but hate to put that money into it, if a Provari will help me quit analogs for good.

Would a Provari be a good fit for a newbie with very few vaping skills?

Read my sig....nuff said.......actually...uhm yes...they're awesome...

Just debating between this and the Ego-c. I ws pretty certain to start with the Ego-c .....until this thread , now i dunno lol

I know it sounds cruel, but maybe get a couple cheap 510 (7 bucks each) batteries and a charger (5 bucks), and a couple packs of Boge cartos (you can use them with your provari later). I think that would be the cheapest way to get into vaping...and then when you get your 510 set-up, order a provari...

I know it sounds weird, but I think a basic starter kit is essential to start out with...
It's one thing to read about the low-ends and the high ends, but when you're using the 510, you'll understand what you like and what you don't like about it...and it'll help you appreciate the benefits and drawbacks of the provari.

Actually, it wasn't until I got my first ProVari that I was able to give up tobacco cigs. The Big Batts and 5mL tanks gave me enough power and liquid capacity to last 13 hours to/from and at work. I don't like messin with nuttin. Walk out the door every workday with fresh charged big bat and Vision Stone II. Good to go for 13 hours. JMHO

Kinda makes one wonder if anyone even read the OP:blink:

I gave up analogs with my 510-t...but it wasn't until my provari, that I didn't feel dead on the inside...Getting a provari, the first thing I thought was, "This could really work"....I definetely felt like my provari proved it's worth yesterday...study cram session...got my spot in the university study hall, and stayed there from 11am, till 3am...went to bed at 4, got up at 7am, and studied till exam at 1pm...in the old days that woulda been 3 packs, and my provari never missed a beat...

I will admit the only drawback I find to going from 510-t to a provari, is I'm very aware of the fact that if something happens to my provari, like I lose it or something...I have no backup...I am NOT going back to sucking on a 510 batt...it's just not gunna happen...it worries me sometimes when I wake up at night to check on my provaby...
