mindfield, I had a huge reply typed up and lost it. lol i hit post reply and poof it was gone. So im just gonna keep it short. You bring up a excellent point about max power. I'm going to ask provape for the thevenin equivalent of the provari to match the load.

rj1, I'm not quitting vaping yo. I just ordered a provari with 18650 extended cap, 2900mAh batteries and a stainless steel liquinator to top it off. I just rolled up the the Bently dealership on a bike and ordered the baddest .... they make. ha ha

Oh, I've done that more than once. It's annoying, but it happens when you're not paying attention. :)

Although I'll probably never use 6V @ 2.4 ohms because it'll probably blow my head off, I like the idea that I can if I really wanted to. However, typically anywhere between 2.4 to 3.5ohms should be more than enough for most people. (I don't think I'd go as high as 3.5ohms as that doesn't put out any more power than my EMDCCs do right now at 4V, and I do want something a little warmer.)

ha ha I think you are right, im just excited about the option to adjust my voltage. I'm sure i will be happy well below the max power of the provari. It's vapor production and flavor that im wanting more of. I don't really dig the crazy TH, high nic juices kill me. I prefer to chain vape a lower nic juice with less TH.

Well, you should certainly have no trouble with that -- although higher voltages do mean a bit more TH, so you might end up finding you want to drop the nic level just a little further. Or not -- depending on what you currently vape. But the flavour will definitely come through a lot more, which may be the best part about it.

Provari arrived today! Very nice looking and not as big as i had imagined. Waiting on batteries to charge before the vaping begins.

Congrats! You're gonna love it. Yeah, the "smaller than I imagined" seems to be a common theme. I thought the same thing. For some reason it just looks bigger when you're looking at pictures or watching YouTube videos of people using one. But it's actually quite reasonably sized and comfortable. Got a good heft to it, too, but not too heavy.

I still don't have any cartos suitable for HV vaping yet though, but I've got a bunch of those new-fangled Fluxomizer Deluxes on the way (2.6-2.8ohm) so as soon as they get here I'll be getting my vaping nirvana on.

Just be sure to download the manual, if for no better reason than to know what the error codes are. You'll be getting a lot of those if you try and push the envelope beyond your atty/carto's resistance too often. :)

I for sure thought it would be bigger, even the box it shipped in had me confused. I don't think it's too heavy at all, even with the 18650 battery. The people making the youtube videos must have small hands. Still waiting for the battery to charge... I got a couple 2.5 Ohm 510 atomizers and a drip tip mounted and ready. Juice lined up, and i feel like i can't wait any more!!

Yeah, they take a while for that first charge, but they do last. I rotate my batteries often so they last longer, but one of the AW IMR 18650s can easily last me most of the day even at higher voltage if I want to let it go. The Trustfire flamejacket 2600mAh last me well over a day, though they are not my primary batts. (They're just a hair too long to be able to screw the endcap on all the way.)

Just be careful not to push those atties too high. At 2.5ohms you can damn near get the full wattage out of them, so it's probably a lot easier to pop them that way. Me, I'm gonna try when mine get here, just for the hell of it. I'll probably feel like I just got kicked in the head, but it's one of those things you have to try, even if just to see what it's like.

Well my charger took a dump, but it did charge the battery enough(4.1V) to vape! I'm just going to say it is everything i imagined and some. 2.3Ohm 510 atty that is old and im getting crazy flavor at 4.2V. I only wish i would have bought the Provari first, i wasted money on inferior products. I gotta wait for my liquinator to ship now.

Anyone interested in gummy bear from Flavor Apprentice should get some, its delicious even with no steep.

Gotta order a new charger now? The TrustFire TR001 is cheap and easy, and it's worked fine for me. So far, anyway. Everyone with a ProVari keeps saying to get the Pela charger, but I can't really justify the $40-50 layout for that at the moment. But yeah, the ProVari really does breathe new life into your existing atties/cartos. It's crazy how well it works for that, I love it.

Is that FlavorArt or Perfumer's Apprentice? Or is Flavor Apprentice some new Voltron of flavourings I haven't heard about? :)

Hey mindfield, yeah i need a new charger. I placed an order last night for a new charger, hoping that it will ship today. I ordered the trustfire you were talking about and the one that broke was also a trustfire. With everyone saying they work well i figured i just got a bad one. Most people with a Provari have much more money than myself, I also cant justify $30 extra on a charger. I use a ultrasonic jewelry cleaner to clean my gear and it works very well, but the provari just woke this bad boy up!

Flavor apprentice is parfumer's apprentice, im pretty sure they just changed the name cause it didn't sound appealing at all. This isn't my first time using their flavors, i have tried a few and each one was spot on delicious. loranns watermelon with a little loranns strawberry is very close in taste to the gummy bear.

I have access to an ultrasonic cleaner where I am (1/2 gallon, meant for cleaning small carburetors) and have been considering doing that. Do you use any sort of cleaning solution?

I just Googled that up and yeah, it looks like Flavor Apprentice comes up as a division of Perfumer's Apprentice. Good to know, I'll have to rebookmark that when I get home.

Iso alcohol and run it over night is my method. Then sit them on a paper towel for a day at least or till im ready to use. It refreshes old clogged atties to like new condition. I seen some people say that 5 minutes is good enough so i run it 8 hours to make sure i get everything out of them. Have yet to kill any atties or have anything negative happen using ultrasonic cleaning. IMHO its the only way to really clean an atty. I tried filling atty with baking soda and adding vinegar, then plugging so it forces the mixture out the bottom. Forcing iso with a syringe through them didn't come close to the ultrasonic method.

I tried flushing with Iso like i've seen on youtube, then put the same atty in the ultrasonic. Lots of gunk was in the ultrasonic cup after just 5 minutes even after the iso flush. So now i skip getting my hands dirty and all that, i slam dunk the atty straight in the ultrasonic.

Good to know then. I may have to get a little ultrasonic jewelry cleaner and try it out. I know a local vendor who's carrying some sort of cleaning kit that contains a little ultrasonic cleaner for $30. I've no idea what kind of quality an ultrasonic cleaner that costs less than $30 as part of a larger kit would be, though, but I'd be willing to give it a shot.

The one i picked up was from Kohl's, its the "La sonic supreme" on the top is says "connoisseur". I think i payed something around $20-$30 for it. It's plastic and cheap looking, but it does get a nice little ripple in the solution.

It also has two separate reservoirs, i use one for jewelry and one for atomizers. Ultrasonic cleaning is brilliant!

Thanks for the info. Good to know that those little ones really are pretty inexpensive. I'ma have to look around me and see if anyone carries them. I've got a baggie of cartos and atties waiting to be cleaned, too. :)
