So, husband and kids kept asking what I wanted for mom's day. I told them first, "How about a new CD case for the car." Then, "You could get me a couple of movies or books." You get the idea. ;)

After a few days of this, I finally decided to tell them what I REALLY want is a Provari. :D So, waiting for that awesome Provari to arrive. Grrrrrrr. 3 days in processing (checked email about 50 times), finally mailed out Wednesday (showing restraint that I am not waiting at the mailbox to accost our mail lady, if I say so myself!). Sigh. Really can't wait.

Ok, I'll ask. Anyone have any advice as this is my first vv device. I am currently using an Epower with a Stardust v2 (awesome IMHO) at 2.1 - 2.4 ohms.

Thanks for any input you may give.

My suggestion is to get a tank or several if you vape many flavors and like to switch flavors several times in a day. My favorite tanks are Phiniacs and Big Daddy Vaper Whose Your Mama. The former for around the house and the latter for outdoor excursions. You'll need some drip tips. Mawn Drip Tips for stainless steel and Trippy Tips for use with the Phiniacs. Them get yourself a box of 50 boge std resistance stainless steel cartomizers from vaperbeast. Oh get the "tank tool" from Phiniac. It will make life easier.

My suggestion is to get some 3.0 ohm x-large cartomizers, single coil, the ones that fit in a dual coil tank....You can put them in a tank or use them by themselves.....3.0 ohm gives you GREAT latitude with all the power settings you will enjoy with the Provari....I cannot tell you all the money I have wasted on different MODS but I CAN tell you that you will be very HAPPY with the Provari.....
I used to use dual coil cartos exclusively but that changed once I started using the Provari....Dual Coil cartos are nothing more than "BATTERY KILLERS"............Thank God you did not waste your time and MONEY on a Lavatube......The new generation lavatube has arrived and is supposed to "fix" the issues the first one had....Only time will tell....Good Luck....

Thank you all for the great suggestions. I did get a box of 5 xlarge Boge caromizers with my Provari (It came this afternoon!). I also ordered a tank from Provape with it, but have been trying to decide if I should add another hole to the carto (it only has one) or get out the Dremel cutting tool. I have had trouble with dry hits on my other tank with a one hole carto. I am currently using a Vision Stardust v2 on it (2.1- 2.4 ohms) and plan on getting some SR ones for use on the Provari. I like the Boges, but hate having to fill so frequently. I may invest in a Big Daddy Little Momma tank in a month or two, when I have the money to do so.

I will have to check out the Phiniac tank. Don't think I have seen that one yet.

I have been using the Ego Mega DC cartomizers most of the time on my Epower. I'll probably use that when I want a lower profile device (mostly at work). I have 2800 mah protected batteries for my Epower, so battery consumption has not been an issue at all. And I did consider the Lavatube, but decided I would rather fork out more money now for higher quality.

Anyways, I am off to play with my new toy! Thanks for the great responses!

You're gonna LOVE that Provari; I love mine. I've only had mine about a month and haven't touched my other pvs since. I got some mini sub tanks (from Mom and Pops Vapor Shop) and punch my own Boge 3.0 cartos with a saddle valve ($8 at Lowes). Unless you like constantly adding more juice, you're gonna need a tank. I usually use my Provari at 4.0 volts and that thing sucks the juice like a vampire.

I just had to sell mine cause I was tired of spending money on accessories but its a wonderful PV. You can do anything you can imagine with it. I just have an addiction to buying things and spent $600 or so on carto's, tanks, etc etc. Its a gate way into a another world. IMO here are the best tanks and where to get them.

ACTv4 (Arry Carto Tank) IN STOCK! http://stormysvaporcellar.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=449 [] - $59.99 : Stormys Vapor Cellar, Electronic Cigarettes & More
You can also use a CE2 in this tank and it will never break.

ACTv3 (Arry Carto Tank) IN STOCK! - $43.99 : Stormys Vapor Cellar, Electronic Cigarettes & More
This one will not break but only can use carto's.

I had both at one time and they are awesome. I would go with the metal one if you can. The ACT3V is also going to be live at SVC with some metal sleeves for the tank in lots of colors in a short time according to the news letter.

Also get this if you are going with a carto. It will save you money.
Saddle Valve- Cartomizer Punch - $8.99 : Stormys Vapor Cellar, Electronic Cigarettes & More

Also if you can get the ext cap and 18650's and the PILA charger. Get ready your going to love it. I will be back at tax time :)

Zero,

Funny you should mention the saddle valve from Lowes. Just got home from picking one of those up at Lowes. :) I did get one tank from Provapes at the same time I ordered my Provari. Just punched a couple more holes in the 3.0 ohm carto and am currently vaping some Grape juice. I have another tank that I bought from somewhere else, but not crazy about that one. I'll probably pick up some more soon.

Striker911,

Thank you for the tank advice. I will check into those. I am trying to restrain myself in the buying department myself. Want to try EVERYTHING! I am trying to pace myself as much as possible. I did get the extender cap and 18650 batteries too. I am also using a couple of Vision Stardust v2 clearomizers on the provari. These are the ones with the new long wicks and are great.

Thank you both for you input. I am enjoying my new Provari. It seems to be really well made and like being able to adjust voltage.

It is well made. I miss mine. I did a two part review on YT for the act4 but have yet to do one for the 3. But if I ever get time I will. My connection is supper slow and that holds me back since I can only upload when I sleep. Otherwise I am bogged for hours.
Provari. The exceptionable device, with no exceptionalble factory support. - YouTube
Part 2 should be linked. It takes a few minutes to get into the act4 tank.

What a wonderful Mother's day gift! I too love the xl boge cartos in a tank! Finally a boge carto long enough to fit the DC tanks! I got a saddle valve at Lowes and think I've finally given up on it :( sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It's just easier to take a hammer and screw out on my back deck and hammer away LOL. My back steps in bricks and if I take a dish cloth and lay it on the bricks and take the carto and lay it on the dish cloth and kinda fit it in the grove where the bricks are mortered together, that holds the carto well enough that a whack or two with the hammer makes a nice (largish) hole. I diy my juice at 70/30 PG/VG and it works really well with one hole. I condom fill my carto and check the ohms before I put it in a tank.

Enjoy your new toy!

IMO, There is no better carto punch than this one

http://www.vipvaporcig.com/accessories/cartomizers-1/aluminium-cartomizer-punch.html

It is the easiest, fastest ,most consistent and durable one I have used. Too bad they are out of stock now.

I may have to check into that. The one I bought at Lowes works, but I have to be careful or the hole punch slips to the side. Very annoying. Thanks for the tip.
Mine did that too. Run the screws up tighter to get a more firm hold and it should be good. Of course you probably know screws are ran down even. Worked for me.
